I'd be surprised if they do, especially after the 1998 cancellations. If they couldn't sell enough tickets back then, what chance have they got now?Quiff Boy wrote:the comment is a reference to the sisters being scheduled to play japan in 1986, before the split put the kibosh on all that... maybe they're trying to play there 25 years later?
Eh . . . Japan?

Hmmm... taking the transsiberian rail trip with the destination being a Sisters gig - well, now you got me from seeing it as a distant hypothetical unlikely event to seeing it as a wet dream come true. And yes, I have some basic communicative knowledge of russian.
That's a good point, but they are less expensive today than back in 98 and in the interview/press release Eldritch also says "That was for you. This is for us." suggesting they now go to places where they wish to play themselves.Methedrone wrote: I'd be surprised if they do, especially after the 1998 cancellations. I can very much vouch for seat61's qualities when it comes to train travelling abroad. Excellent site!tristren wrote:"This page explains how to plan & book an overland journey from London to China or Japan by Trans-Siberian Railway, cheaply & independently."

Wonderful news, maybe that will give him enough time to finish putting the final touches on the new one before he announces it in the fall. What better place to announce it?doctoravalanche wrote:Discussing with Jurgen the sound engineer this week-end at a cocnert I have organized in France, there are indeed some talks for Central America and Asia, but for next autumn ...

If they play in Japan the show should be sold out, they have a lot of fans over here. I really hope they can make it as I have never seen them live before!
no, Barry, not for me. now i have reached to my financial limits. as someone else said in another topic - my girls want to eat, that's the first thing.Quiff Boy wrote:

Thanks for the info, eggi. Then I can definitely write this off, I would never go to Japan in july/august anyway. My friends in Tokyo tell about impossibly hot and muggy weather.Eggi1 wrote:Info from the nurse:

Let's hope it's about 2 weeks later then, so _emma_ can get there in time by train

When friends accuse me of being a Sisters fanatic, it's always good to be able to point them in this direction, for much more severe cases.
No really, have fun people, if they/you go there, and don't forget your recorder
