Yeah, that was surprising; I'd always thought the official story was that he'd joined too late to actually play on the LP but was credited as a "moral contribution".
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

To hear Tim tell it, he's perhaps more on it than Tony James, who seems to have played just enough for Von to sample him and get the Doktor to play most tracks

But in any case the bulk of VT's performances are Von, Andreas and John Perry
