Too Hip To Be Square

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Too Hip To Be Square
A weekend of Winter madness.

Ladies and Gents, arrange your Monday off work, get your train tickets to Leeds sorted and a room at The Ibis booked, for we are staging another event.

Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th of November 2004

Saturday 27th – Fraser’s “Winter Wishville Shindig at The George
Another night of quality music from across the genres and time space continuum, as well as the odd Chameleons related track thrown in for good measure, of course. Lots of old-school tunes, a few eclectic surprises, cheap beer and a guest DJ set from yours truly. Get in!

Sunday 28th – “Heartland DJs v The Mighty Rhombus at The Bassment
The piece of resistance, as it were. The high point of your weekend. Black Sheep presents a very live and very loud show by the very marvellous Rhombus, preceded and proceeded by DJ sets by myself, Fraser and Phono Paul. You know what to expect: lots of smoke, one or two mirrors, a couple of floods and maybe even a stolen guitar (player)… and it's free to get in.

Whilst this isn’t quite a full-on Heartland bash, we expect the forum to be well represented and the music to be fittingly groovy. It really would be quite good if you could make both nights…
