Dylan was in the band longer than That Guitarist, lol
And contributed to more songs
Some might say better songs! I'll take "Here" over "Marian", and "Don't Drive on Ice" over "Rock and a Hard Place", any old day of the week

Re: Romeo Down

I wonder what was going on in Von (and Adam P's) life at the time that they wrote *two* banger songs about domestic violence

Re: Official website concert videos

I was just wondering yesterday what happened to the official concert videos which were being edited by the late Chris Sheehan Did they not fall victim to the fire in Adam's studio.... :?: ... Neither of these events are familiar to me, where can i find elaboration? Haha 2004 Thinking. And not doing...

Does anyone in their right mind really think Von is going to enter the studio in earnest and lay down 87 vocal tracks of Drive On Ice?
Only if he loses a leg to gangrene or some other reason why he can't go on stage any more, and he gets really bored

Absolute classic. The first TSOM song about domestic violence, the second being "Six Ways To Sunday" (unless you count "Ribbons", of course)

Re: Kai as a permanent member

On Facebook, re: the recent tour, our old friend Si Denbigh said "Von does not cancel gigs on a whim". Very true. And despite rumours in the popular press, he doesn't fire guitarists on a whim either. If Dylan's acting out in reaction to tech issues/horrible sound was within the bounds of what you'd...

Andrew would say: "I'll set Doktor Avalanche to this speed, and let's just see what happens" If you set it to 192bpm, you get Sigue Sigue Sputnik! It was with the song "Eyes Of Caligula". As I understand, the lyrics are about Margaret Thatcher and England in the 1980s. He has had the lyrics since 1...

Re: Possible unreleased song album covers from Overboming

Come Together was written by then, and there was talk of the band going into the studio, but I don't know. I personally think that the wheels had come off that era of the band shortly after Reading 91. Probably the wheels really came off after _Some Girls..._, the point where Andreas had a go at Vo...

Re: Kai as a permanent member

Its no secret that on Tour Thing USA James' bass was turned down half the time. No sh*t? The Doktor wasn't able to play the bass back then, so did the live keyboardist do it or did they just do without bass? I just dont like the bloke though for all sorts of little reasons. And Sigue Sigue Sputnik....

Tony James is so shi t! Go listen to Reading '91 & the cu nt cant play Lucretia! He sounds fine on Miami 1991. But I only want him back if he plays the Space baSSS. How many in the current setlist did Pearson write the music for? Is "Crash and Burn" one of his?
Romeo Down came back in briefly last year too

Further discussion in the Where Are They Now? forum. I should have checked that thread first, because there was a mention of him using the KONNEKT brand as long ago as 2011.

Re: Germany in January

Well, his Twitter ranting about Israel/Palestine is sadly not very far from what you see in the German mainstream - although it means he won't be working with Von, who wore a keffiyeh on stage, any time soon. But let's face it, this "Konnekt" stuff is pure crankery . This Adam Pearson (assuming it i...

I suspect there will be a few end of tour surprises.

My money is on a bagpipe solo on I Was Wrong.
My prediction: Dylan turns up, absolutely wasted drunk, and attempts to rush the stage. Von clobbers him with a mike stand.

As nice as this as and as well as he's doing. I'm sure he's very busy, I think and hope all being well it'll be a Ravey Christo Catalyst Von lineup after this tour We had that for most of the last decade. It was boring and there was hardly any new material. Also: Ben is not likely to want to give u...

Re: Kai as a permanent member

Oh, I forgot about Chris. That's a problem because he keeps dropping these huge hints in interviews that he wants his old job back, and there's not room for all three (since Von doesn't want to go back to having a live bass player).
