Re: 2024-09-15: Roxian Theatre, Mckees Rocks, PA, USA

It must take a hell of a lot of discipline for Chris to stand there absolutely poker-faced, rather than rocking out like Davey would

Re: Von in Louder Than War

6. If we are going to be silly little gossipy people, what do you suppose Ben's "Character deficiency" is? Is it a reference to being alcohol-free or is that an inference too far? I hesitate to bring this up because this is the kind of thing that many here would dismissively laugh at, but...

Re: 2024-09-15: Roxian Theatre, Mckees Rocks, PA, USA

Can I ask what the crowd size was like, in Detroit and in PA? A lot of people were saying the tour was a mistake/doomed because of low ticket sales, but it certainly sounds like it's a success artistically.

If that's the correct interpretation, why is Chris still doing it? I mean, you could literally get any anonymous rando to hit Return

Re: Von in Louder Than War

Important :von: quotes: I was quite surprised (Terri Nunn) turned up. I did get a letter from her lawyer about a month before asking for money, banging on about having written part of Under The Gun. I didn’t take it badly or even personally. I think people know why (Dylan) was ushered off-stage. It ...

Re: 'HERE'. The successor to 'Paint My Name in Black and Gold'

The more I think about it, the more I think the title is misleading, because _Here_ would be the theoretical fifth TSOM album. The fourth would have come out in about 2000 and had "Summer", "Crash and Burn", "Romeo Down", "War on Drugs" and "Will I Dream...

86-89 is probably subject to the gag order that ended Morrison v. Eldritch.

90-93 was IMHO pretty adequately reported in Underneath The Rock.

The song is fun but it has never satisfied me for the same reason "Anaconda" doesn't satisfy me. There's no mystery in the lyrics.

Trevor Ristow has those plans. Mark Andrews doesn't.

Re: USA Tour 2024

TSOM fandom is paralleled only by Star Wars fandom to the extent that the fans are actively angry with the object of their fandom. Von has gotten to a position where he can do whatever the hell he feels like, and not do it if he doesn't feel like it. If the way in which TSOM runs at the moment stops...

Re: USA Tour 2024

Why do you think they've had to reduce the size of the venues they're playing? And how would you suggest they could have avoided this? No, that's not how it works. You have to make an argument for "if only they'd put out new recordings, which they haven't for 31 years, this wouldn't have happe...
