Thanks for that walk down memory lane. Was it a young naked Ms Dax that was in Company Of Wolves?
It was. I think most of us of a certain age remember that all too well! :-)

Re: currently cutting a rug to

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FzFu-ze8pA one last blast from the past from me. :notworthy: Ah man, I can't believe you posted this - I thought I was the only person in the world who still listens to this in the year 2020! I bloody love this song. An all-time favourite. Reminds me of being 15 and...

Re: Re-re-run of currently watching

Lovecraft Country was an interesting watch. I loved HPL's stories in my teens, and as gamers, both my wife and I have immersed ourselves in board games and video games based in his universe. So we're into that whole thing. I loved it to begin with but felt that it ran out of steam halfway through. M...

Re: Re-re-run of currently watching

Regarding SOA, my wife was very into that, but I objected to watch it on one simple principle. As a biker, I couldn’t stand the cliched stereotype of ‘the biker gang’. Such a tired old trope. I feel the show perpetuates the myth of the drug dealing murderous biker types originated with Hells Angels...

Re: Re-re-run of currently watching

Deadwood is up in my top 5 shows of all time. A masterclass in writing, acting, staging - everything. A wonderful show, the like of which we'll probably never see again. A modern classic. The other half and I are on Season 5 of Sons Of Anarchy - getting through a couple of episodes a day at the curr...

Re: currently cutting a rug to

I can never decide if I prefer Junkyard or Prayers on Fire. Junkyard is huge, raw and aggressive, but Prayers On Fire is much more deviant and f**ked up. My favourite song on there is Cry.

Re: Jesus Loves The Sisters

Reptile House does them every now and again. Perhaps if they see interest here they may reprint again. Mine usually gets an outing at Mish gigs. Ah, ok. So they are official ... other than I thought ... :innocent: ... thank you for the info ... :D ... I bought my Jesus Loves The Sisters shirt from ...

I've put on a bit over lockdown, so went with an XL shirt to be on the safe side - it's an absolutely huge piece of cotton, or whatever they make them from these days! Don't think I'll have to worry about growing out of it until at least next year.

New York Dolls in London when they reunited back in 2003 or so - had the flu and couldn't possibly make it, but I've been kicking myself ever since. I should've dragged myself from my death-bed for that one. Easy to say in retrospect! Morrissey at St David's Hall, Cardiff in 2006 on the Ringleader t...

Just received mine too, along with a 2010 ladies shirt for my other half which was a bargain at a fiver! I received my dispatch email just this morning too, so that was much quicker than expected.

Ha, from reading the posts, before listening, I was expecting something that sounded vaguely similar to, but not actually, Marian. Having heard it, I don't think it's a rip-off in the sense that they're claiming it as their own - they're never going to get away with that. It's clearly a tribute. It'...

Yeah absolutely true, all of that. If we all keep yelling "one more album" at the end of each gig, maybe it will eventually have an effect  Call me crazy, but it's going to happen, innit? I'm really starting to believe that! Fool that I am. I'm a glutton for punishment. But if it doesn’t hap...

Enjoyed the support too, right up my droney soundscape alley. Agree completely. There was definitely a post-rock vibe going on there. Reminded me quite a bit of Chelsea Wolfe, although more cerebral and less visceral. Picked up the clear vinyl album and a CD on the way out, and my other half was so...

Great night in Bristol tonight - news songs sounded fantastic. Took the kids (11 and 13) for their first indoor concert and they had a top nite out - met lots of friendly folks. Just got back home to South Wales and still buzzing. Going to work my way through all the videos that you wonderful people...
