Re: Record Store Day April 2024.

So got mine earlier today, cranking it for the neighbours right now. So far so good, the Body & Soul side has the correct version of Body Electric, and the Walk Away side adds Long Train, so it was at least compiled by somebody who knows what they're doing. It does feel a bit of a cheap package...

So here's another instrument wich I have transported to this magical forest I've created  It's a Fender EL Rio semi-acoustic. Again it's made from paper, balsawood and yarn. Height: 10,5 centimeters I create with materials that is the less harmfull to nature as possible. It's to inspire and w...

Re: New fan

Welcome and I hope you enjoy your new time with The Sisters of Mercy.

I read your message about your new found passion for the Sisters on some FB site and your words were a change from the usual complaining that normally follow the band.

I was also in Groningen and they were great.

Re: Gift reissue plus extras

The postcard side with the text "what you have...." etc does also... if you look carefully have in faint letters "The Sisterhood" and "Gift" in the backgorund. Or have I got a very rare one....

My postcard was just loose in the package.... not in the record sleeve. Almost threw it away by mistake.

Being of a certain age, it's impossible for me to hear that Shakespeare quote without adding "and consign their parts most private to a Rutland tree".
That was the alternative title to Gift.

Re: Record Store Day April 2024.

I'll get the Sisters release... we don't get to pick up a new Sisters record every day, so it's a novelty if nothing else! That's an odd combo though - I could understand No Time To Cry and Walk Away being packaged together, but Body & Soul is kind of a stand alone thing - separate from the alb...

Re: 2024-06-13. Nova Rock Festival, Nickelsdorf AT

It's a real photo, that's a real dressing room. It just looks fake due to being massively resized. I'm sure there's a full-size original on an SD card somewhere but the reason it looks a bit weird is because it was resized from a very small picture which is being used in promotional graphics/flyers...

Forgot to mention a stage invasion by some drunken bloke during This Corrosion. And now with a clip of the stage invader (not my vid- my thanks to the uploader) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLcWhgtyE38 That's actually pretty cool. Does "karaoke" refer to the fact that the Doktor is playing most of the instruments? As I say, at least you can hear Von these days, even if it's a gutteral gurgle It refers to the fact that watching that video makes it look like two old men trying to sing a long to a well known rock song...
