Anaheim, 2008
"Are you insane????" and, later... "What can you do?" Also, a comment not a response to the corset crowd: "This song is for Officer Mike." Side Note: At the end of "Something Fast", he stopped singing and growled "Yeah, that's not going to happen." r...

Not that it takes much for AE to decide someone, especially an audience member, is an idiot. But that's why we love him. I was on the balcony and couldn't see. One observer thought he was annoyed someone was doing the little pinky-and index finger devil horns salute. I thought it had to be something...

Anaheim
As mentioned above, Mr. E got annoyed with someone on the front left of the stage (in front of Chris) during the second verse of "Flood II", and had to take time out from singing to A. throw something back into the crowd. B. ask "Are you insane?" (or possibly "Are you in pai...

I went to both the Anaheim and SD shows. Anaheim was about 10% better, mostly because the first couple of songs in SD were a little bit flat and Andy was mumbling... possibly because there weren't very many people there. Then they played Alice. Now, I saw them in '06 and I remember thinking that Ali...

Things that "sound like the Sisters"
1. The 69 Eyes: They don't so much sound like the Sisters as have some of the same influences and an Eldritch-clone singer. But that's not bad, and unlike every other band that has been accused of being a Sisters clone, they actually rock, being much more influenced by the MC5 than anything on Cleop...

This isn't obvious, but
Guitars a la Andreas/Gary: James Hetfield
Guitars a la Bricheno/Pearson/Hussey: Adrian Belew (Or possibly Reeves Gabrels if he's told to keep it simple).
Bass: Lemmy. LEMMY.
Nurse: Flood. (Tell me that wouldn't be a halfway decent in-joke).

In case no one has noticed
Von also rips people off something fierce, and I don't mean just Lennie. Neil Young and David Bowie are the main victims during the Floodland-VT period. That I've noticed.

Points
1. The colors are brilliant. Laughs.
2. Joy Division isn't really G**h.
3. Miss Detriot is his long time veemun and apparently, according to observers on a previous tour, a bit G**hy looking, although this is not reliable.

Well, I agree with Badlander that it's a bit rude to show up and say how much you hate a band. I also agree it's off topic. Someone should start another thread where we can discuss how untalented, useless, and lost in their silly fantasies folks like Xymox, Neph, and Mish are in a vicious and amusin...

Fulfil contractual requirements regarding release of greatest hits album. Feel a sense of quiet satisfaction, and enjoy greater fu...

If he didn't even write ToL, sod the bastard. I mean, the m*****n weren't so hot apart from "Wake", and "Deliverance", and what "great songs" did he write for the Sisters? FALAA? Yay. tbh judging from the songwriting in recorded output FALAA is neither as good as ToL/Ad...

"A whole new dimension" is pretty strong. He did contribute the main riff to Temple, IIRC, so he deserves kudos for that.

David Bowie's "Scary Monsters" album.
Also, as someone mentioned but didn't suggest, Rammstein. And the Smashing Pumpkins "Adore"

One, m3, 4
Has anyone done a survey of how many TSOM songs (Especially post-FALAA) have the chord progression Root, minor 3rd, 4th? And how many of those tracks have it as eigths or sixteenths, One bar for the root, one for the m3, and two for the 4th? Has to be close to half, doesn't it? Heresy I know... and ...

More is Bollocks, it really is the worst thing AE ever wrote, but the rest of the record is great, and Ribbons is quite possibly the most vicious song in the history of music. It's brilliant. I'd try... anything by Joy Division except Closer, (Atmosphere, off Substance, is the best song U2 ever did....

I just figured it out
...the other couple of guys in the band were supposed to be playing the melodies, and riffs, and providing the rhythmic depth to their songs. The people in the reduced lineups only knew the chords because, in the full act, that was all they were supposed to do. That must be why they sounded like tha...
