Re: Recent posts on my TSOM archive blog

Nikolas Vitus Lagartija One thing that needs researching is that they played 3 times at Francs in Colne. I used to know someone who lived in Colne and he went to the gigs. He couldn't remember the exact dates but approximately they were March or April'82, Nov'82, and we kindof know about March'83. ...

Re: Some Kind Of Demos

I'd only listened to one song the other day but I just listened to the whole thing and it's made me appreciate the songs more. A few months ago when the compilation of new songs was posted I hated them (except for Black Sail, that was alright). Quality has a lot to do with it. The live recordings so...

Now go and do a cover of Far Parade.
You'll have to use your imagination for the music, but I'm sure it's possible to come up with a suitable pastiche!

The flyer is 1992. I originally put 1994 by mistake but edited my post, but it's still in the quoted post.

Ahh, I finally found something I'd been looking for for ages! So... when she performed under her own name (eventually releasing "Reflect On This" in 1994), she started performing with that band in 1992, playing their first gigs in October. But before this she was listed as appearing at Leeds Duchess...

Re: Gift reissue plus extras

Secondly, as far as we know there are no unheard of versions of Giving Ground. Yeah but it's possible there's demos and alternate takes. I think some people are hoping that this release (if it ever happens) will contain some previously unheard material such as demos/alt. takes, but yes you're proba...

Sisters hit the catwalk again.
PS: Interestingly, the "official" YT videos have some other muzak dubbed over the show, presumably to avoid some or other litigation?
You mean that link you posted or some other? I clicked it and it has an extended version of Lights for me.

I think your government are doing an excellent job. A week or two ago I read the statistic that 27 people in NZ had died from Covid. That's not 27 per day, that's EVER.

I don't know why some people care so much about how others live their lives.
It's like someone on a diet being annoyed because someone else is eating a doughnut. (Not my quote, I can't remember who said it.)

If we're talking about the same thing as @Dan's upload in the old thread I don't think it's the Sisters. It's all just midi files - I don't think there's a live musician on there at all. Ah! I'd forgotten all about that. And the link still works. Oh well, that's peoples curiosity sated anyway. Hope...

Might be real, might be fake, the instrumentals could be made by one of the youtube 'remix' people. I don't want instrumentals, I want the vocal version. Oh and look... they've also made it available as 2 acetates so the people who care less about the music and more about collecting bits of plastic ...
