Cocteau Twins were offered £5 million back in 2006/7 but Liz pulled out at the last minute.

Re: NEW SONGS!

His voice is still fine enough to sound good in the studio. Ian Astbury hasn't sounded good live for over 30 years now, yet on recent records he sounds alright.

As far as covers go I'd much rather hear Stayin' Alive than anything by Pearl Jam.

By far the best thing I've read all year. That quote about regret was delightful and I loved the Steinman stories.

Re: Reading 91 thirty years ago today.

Monster gig all around with a particularly vicious version of Ribbons. Eldritch really had the whole world in his hands that day. Only know it through the bootlegs, the feel of which is awesome. Love it. Now 20 years since I got into the Sisters, a full 10 years from Reading. So it goes... Don't fe...

Just because he has an exceptional ability to stay focused, something that most people with Asperger's have by default, doesn't make him so. By definition pretty much anyone who is exceptionally gifted with an IQ in the top quartile will probably have issues with relating to and communicating with m...

Four weeks and still waiting. I have it on good authority that Canada Post isn't exactly fast these days, but I thought a package from the UK (presumably) would probably be here by now.

How long does it usually take for stuff to arrive?
Once I had to wait for almost two months. I had thought the parcel might have gone missing, but it arrived at long last. Keeping my fingers crossed for you. :)
Much appreciated.

He was hired to produce Def Leppard's Hysteria but they fired him after a few weeks. Instead he went to work with Doktor Avalanche who was easier to deal with than a drummer with only one arm.

Re: Book: Waiting For Another War

Finished the book in two days. Fantastic work all around and keeping my fingers crossed there will be a follow-up covering the 1986-93 period. That Dave Dickson quote perfectly encapsulates the sentiment of what it was like to discover the Sisters for the first time and why it continues to have such...
