I only download bootlegs, not official releases. I usually buy music from independent record stores, where I can listen beforehand. That way I make sure I don't pay for crappy records. I do like the fact that I can get to listen before I buy, especially if it has been recommended to me by someone who's taste Im not convinced by. It beats judging a record by its cover.
