Newish band called O.Children are worth a listen. They haven't quite got the lyrical quality yet, but I think they have potential.

Can anyone identify this tune?

Nothing to do with the Sisters, just a total long shot. I recorded this tune off the radio in Florence in early March 1989 and thought it’d be easy to find. I’m still looking. Back then I loved this tune, these days I see it more of a challenge. I will not be defeated :) Any help, suggestions or...

If they’re really big on you [the Sisters shirts], couldn’t you turn them into dresses by wearing a belt around your waist but over the shirt. Could be a good look. I don't wear dresses ... ... ok, mostly ... but believe me, this were no good look on me. :urff: :urff: :urff: How...

Lucky you ... mine are all that large that I never had a chance to wear them ... Well, there’s a choice of sizes at play.com so these might fit you. Alternatively, eat more burgers or something, then your t-shirts will fit :-) ... unfortunately, for me it's either buying food or clot...

Christ alone knows how they're going to dispose of the body - California won't allow you to bury or burn plastic. Presumably they'll shred most of him and turn the results into fleece jackets... MH - yeah, but at least it gets Jade off the front page... I said much the same thing on my facebo...

Her also regularly Busks in Chester city centre. Always good to hear him when I’m there. Shame he was playing a lot of covers last time. I prefer his own compositions.

Well, my fantasy Sisters line up is more of a fantasy sound. I’d love another complete reinvention, a new sound. My fantasy new era Sisters would sound like a cross between Floorshow and Rekkit by Death in Vegas. The closest anyone has come to making a record that sounds like that is, rather unsur...

I loved the Andrea White illustration t-shirts from the Reptile House, I had two, but they are too old to be worn now. I like them because only Sisters fans would recognise them. My favourite one was/is another from the reptile house, grey with the word REPLICANT in black across the chest. I also re...

I had a look round at other sites for this and stumbled across The Platinum Collection at play.com http://www.play.com/Music/CD/4-/5607135/The-Platinum-Collection/Product.html No details except for a 4th August release. I imagine it’ll probably be a Some Girls/Overbombing fusion. I’d be surprise...

First thing I did was go to the back of the manual, and checked the track listing. And I discovered my two favourite things together. The Sisters and GTA. Wow. Dominion just came on the radio while I was on the run from the cops in a stolen black Ferrari, what a magical moment :-).

On 6 Music

For anyone who’s interested, Yesterday (27th) Gideon Coe on 6 music played Alice and 1969 from the 25/08/82 session. You can listen again here.

Conspiracy Theory?

I can’t help wondering why we don‘t hear more of The Sisters. I mean, plenty of other bands from that era still get played on the radio. It’s not unusual to hear stuff by The Cure, Siouxie and the Banshees, Joy Division, Jesus and Mary Chain, Echo and the Bunnymen and other similar indie-ish s...

I bought body electric at a record fair at the NEC, some time in the early 90's, paid £60 for it. Bought Damage Done at the same time for £150. I had obsessive completist disorder back then, thankfully it’s cleared up now. £210 on two 7 inch singles is still my most pointlessly extravagant purc...

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this but, just noticed a 3CD set called ‘A Merciful Release’ on a few web sites and they have it down as due for release on 26th of Feb next year. I’m guessing it’s just going to be the reissues packaged in a box set. Does anybody know anything more...

I got into the sisters in a roundabout sort of way. I think it was back in about 1983 my mates and I were looking at some art created by the older kids. One pupil had painted what I now know to be the the sisters logo. I asked my mates what it was and they explained it was just some crap band. I acc...

Somehow all Sisters songs, even doctor jeep, get their hooks into my brain. After just one listen, they fix themselves there. No other band has that effect on me. Hearing the full version of Never Land for the fist time a few weeks back reminded me of how good that feels. A (sort of) new Sisters son...

For me, it was sometime in the 90's. Shortish hair with a snakeskin print turtle neck shirt. Can’t remember where I saw the pic. Might have been UTR.
