Re: NEW SONGS!

I think they’d sound brilliant on record. I think we’d see a lot more in the songs than we’ve seen already. They’d be cracking!

Re: NEW SONGS!

Well hell, maybe yes. But does it really matter as long as they write new songs? Especially nowadays when almost everyone have their daily musical environment play from spotify and stuff? Only to see Von present his understanding of adequate Sisters coverart these days? OK, why not. It matters to m...

Having published several books, I've always done the Index myself. But it is a fair bit of work.

I ordered a couple of weeks ago on the dreaded Amazon, and I’m pleased to report that it arrived this morning, looking really terrific. Looking forward to diving in!

Anyone know what else WEA might have in the Vaults?
A live album?
Sadly I think they’ve probably flogged everything they have the rights to by this point…

Re: Paint My Name In Black and Gold: The Next Phase

The signature ... I live in Belgium. I would have needed to sign them in a warehouse in Basildon, Essex in the UK. At the time this option was mooted, I would have needed to quarantine for days in the UK and on return to Belgium. So it was not physically possible to make that trip: family, day job ...

Re: Book: Waiting For Another War

I just finished reading the book last night. What a great read it is. I thought there wouldn't be much new to learn, but there were some great insights and quite a few things I hadn't known before. Hearing from fans from the time was an excellent touch. I really liked the interpretation of the songs...

1988 Long Interview

This was posted on Youtube today, not sure if it's new to you guys, but it was new to me. A long interview with AE and Patricia, which sounds like it would be really interesting if AE wasn't mumbling so much and if there wasn't a DIABOLIC amount of hiss on the recording. Any way of cleaning it up? E...

Re: Gift reissue plus extras

It's only a record, yes. And only a re-release, maybe with a couple of new edits. So why get so excited? Because there are the only crumbs that have been offered for about 20 years maybe? Let's face it, we don't have much else to get excited about, other than how exactly how indecipherable AE's voic...

Re: It was thirty years ago today...

I'm a Floodland chap all the way. Maybe just because it's the first thing I heard (to be more specific, I remember hearing the baseline of Lucretia at the age of 13 and thinking...Oh.My.God. Maybe I don't need to be listening to Erasure any more). But to me, that's the one all the way. I think it's ...

Re: Book: Waiting For Another War

Jeez Louise, you're not wrong. I guess since P&P is the same for either 1 or 2 copies, the clever thing to do would be to order one for your friend at the same time, and charge them the £5 or so it would cost to repost within the UK. $24 is eye-watering.
