Würzburg is just one of those totally un-hip places to have this happen.Planet Dave wrote: ↑14 Oct 2023, 22:48Hands up everyone who thought there'd be a new guitarist in the band tonight.
But to be honest: I, at least, didn‘t expect it.

Yes, we have 4 sisters again. Andrew introduced the guitarist with „This is Cat“ or something similar (might be Kai. Looks Asian)
Great sound, great concert. Sorry, no photos, my phone did other important things. More later, now off to Stuttgart

If you want to try my version of it, try the Search function for "The 4th & 5th Album". Seems it went down quite well, judging by the comments.

Thanks a lot, that did it. Funny that I explicitely had to refresh the page, I'm afraid many people are stuck with the info that Glasgow etc. were moved to a bigger venue, and nothing else.Gothicbiff wrote: ↑10 Oct 2023, 22:30...

Re: Rammstein - to go or not to go
I'm not prudish. I'm not claiming to be morally superior either. I was just summarizing what women said about their experiences in row zero and afterwards, as many of you seem to not know anything about what they said. Of course they don't have to, but can anyone of you old people (no offence - see ...

Re: Rammstein - to go or not to go
I didn't really want to come forth with my opinion, but now I feel I have to. During the 80s you didn't get backstage unless you were attractive. AND it was a choice by the women, and unfortunately some girls who looked liked they were 18. But what the hell??? This is not the 70's where Led Zeppelin...

I would never have thought that this should be the biggest fear: ANDREW GROWLS LIKE A PRIMARY SCHOOL DEATH METAL SINGER. What a shame, I thought we were over it. Now I have 2 tickets (Würzburg & Stuttgart) and I really hope that it will be good in spite of HIM...

Fears: NTTC, Dr Jeep/Det. Blvd, Under the Gun
Hopes: Valentine, Far Parade, Train (with or without Det. Blvd), Heartland, Floorshow, Temple Of Love (12" Version - as it should be!!! - if Andreas Bruhn could play it, so can you, dear guitarists), more new new songs

Re: The Cure
I have seen The Cure in Munich last year (which was affordable, as it's in Europe, thanks a lot) and I firmly believe that Robert is a very nice guy (besides that I like what he's doing), just because of how he reacted to the audience (humble, and honoured, and appreciative, and he gave a lot back)....

Re: Is Wake fake?
Maybe the topic wasn't interesting enough. *cough* They definitely weren't sober. Wayne could barely walk from the night before, and Andrew was probably heavily on Meds for his broken ribs. I'm too young so I haven't seen them anywhere before 1990, so I'd say, it seems that they simply had a good ev...

Re: Who wrote the "new" songs?
Sorry, thread necro for a particular reason - somebody on the TSOM 1980-1985 facebook page is flaming me just because I dared to question the statement that Andrew Eldritch wrote everything for the Sisters "except for 4-5 songs on FALAA and the last 3 years". Website says (on the lyrics page): Romeo...

Re: Gift reissue plus extras
I have listened to this on Spotify (so Cadiz gets their 2 cents, probably literally): Let's not be too picky on Cadiz - True, they promised everything and more, but in the end, they tried to to business with Andrew Eldritch and probably got, not what they wanted, but what they could use somehow. Now...

Re: The Cure
I was there, in Munich, and it was a brilliant concert. True, we didn't get Faith, but else it was great. They played one of my absolute favourites, A Strange Day, and couldn't go much wrong from there. The setlist for the regular set and the first encore was rather dark, ethereal, epic, while the s...
