I wrote an awful lot of that stuff - glad you liked it.
Dunno about the Marx bass thing .. clearly somebody was experiencing head trauma that day. That one wasn't my fault though!
RIP Stylus etc ...

A touch of drive-by promotion here. My words about FALAA went up a couple of days ago - you may wish to look at them.
Of course if you disagree with what I thought and want to kill me, then that review was actually nothing to do with me whatsoever

My copy seems free from sleeve typos, hurrah! It does have the rather obvious volume discrepancies between album/bonus tracks though. Tsk. Ok, just to be absolutely clear on this (because I'll be doing a review of it in the near future and heaven forbid that a music journo gets any facts wrong), thi...

Whoops - I should have known that this forum would have sniffed out any Sisters material without me having to promote it!

Possible reading material
Hello all. I'm probably entirely unfamiliar to you due to my policy of serial lurking. I've posted a handful of times but much prefer soaking in the atmosphere and getting excited whenever little Sisters news tidbits appear. Anyway! Self-justification is not my aim. In between waiting for a new Sist...

You bought the album (perhaps) ... and now it's no longer possible to do so. So, um, what else is left to do but read my oh-so-timely review ! And if you can stomach wanky concept reviews, or ever enjoyed the classic Steve Jackson/Ian Livingston Fighting Fantasy books, you could do worse than take a...

Blimey! Not only am I reunited with my long lost mum, but possibly with a disgruntled absent father too (is he really mine? who cares, he's gettin' the burgers in). On the down side, I now listen to the same music as my parents. I'm the uncoolest muppet-child ever :( But wait! That music is the Sist...

The Alice tab should be played on the b-string for the intro and Riff A and the E-string for Riff B. If you play it the way it is written there, you'd end up with loads of ringing from the B and E strings which isn't there when you play Riff B so it wouldn't sound right. If that makes any sense. He...

That page is great for Sisters tabs! I like playing the riffs from 'Alice', over and over again ... they're curiously hypnotic.
Err.. that's not much to do with 'Marian'; just wanted to get my problem out in the open.

These guys sell March Violets and Skeletal Family stuff. Well.. ok, they only do one MV compilation thing, but three (count 'em!) SF albums.
SoulSeek remains the cheapest option though

Hooray! I love this song :) The version I have (which I got from SoulSeek, I think) is labelled as being from a Peel session in '82. I'm downloading yours now (no broadband for me, so it'll be a short while ;)) and will report back if it sounds different. (Twenty minutes later) This version is a bit...

I was only 5 when Floodland came out and only 11 when Under the Gun appeared, so I've had to get into this whole Sisters thing retrospectively (as it were). Which is why I'd love another album/single to eventually appear. I want to experience a Sisters release first-hand! I want to hold the cd in my...
