Well, I think most people have a PC already, and picking up the rest of the pieces second hand can dramatically decrease the cost. I know musicians who spend thousands on equipment, I know musicians who spend next to nothing. And no, I'm not talking about stealing software... So, my question is, wha...

I still don't see how your worse off now than before... you now have a chance of getting a small slice of the pie, rather than no slice. You may only sell to 3 people today, but it would have been zero 15 years ago... and its cost you a lost less to record those tracks now.

Have to completely disagree Iz. Its never been a better time for musicians. You can get a starter home studio (better than something you'd pay $10,000s for 20 years ago) for less than the cost of a decent guitar. Its super easy to get your songs on the net, post a You Tube video and use social netwo...

I'm down with adopting any language other than English as the World Language, as long as-

* its easy to pronounce
* easy to spell phonetically
* does not require kanji!

How many bands an you name that made it through MySpace? Now try the same with a record labe of choice. Agreed, the Net ain't around for that long, but MySpace is already over its peek and going straight down (personal findings and with me a lot of bands/artists think so as well) and it is around f...

@stufarq: I am not talking about now, I am not talking about pre Welsh Language Act 1993, and pre- all those attempts to stop the language from dying (which it was) since then. I actually felt sorry for the ones that did n't (they were n't that popular - apartheid lives on). Yup, That was one of the...

Well according to Wikipedia it was on the decline, so it must be true! :D That said I understand why the English don't want to pay for it, but that 's just life in a multicultural democratic society. I have to pay for Eastenders. Doesn't have to be. California is a highly multicultural society, but ...

It survived without S4C and without dual language roadsigns, Not really. It was dying before they came along. Not dead - sure - but definitely dying. but Welsh speakers deserve the respect of seeing, hearing and being able to read in their first language. Sure. If they want to pay for it... just do...

Cultural diversity innit. Well yeah, but I wonder at cost? I'm down with people learning other languages, but I really wonder if that's where we should be putting our efforts... one man's cultural diversity is another's fragmented society. And yeah, I would be OK with switching to another language,...

Your tax dollars at work!

I've never understood why the government encourages this sort of stuff... shouldn't we be trying to reduce the number of world languages, so we can all start talking to each other a bit better?

Record reviews? Bollox. Anybody who needs to read a review of a record to decide what to buy is the worst kind of audio fucktard known to man.

a. listen to record. if you like it, go to b. buy it, or c. don't buy it. DONE!

We should all be out celebrating.

Eh? Love who you want, when you want, and how you want. As long as everyone consents, who cares? To me, that's a no brainier.
