Re: Totally Insane fb

I still remember the guide for new students when I arrived in Leeds in 1990 warning us off all the "proper Leeds" Leeds pubs. "Don't go in there with your long mac and your CND badge." It really was a different time.

Joking aside.... I remember a farcebook post from many moons ago "Seven reasons not to buy the Sun".

I thought he sold the master rights, not the publishing rights? So he has no control over what gets re-released but he does get still get the publishing income as songwriter which would include physical releases, streams etc.
Yes that's what I thought too

It's the 'you can't be a proper goth because....' from people old enough to know better that irk me. Hmmm. I wonder now you've said that, if the person I was interacting with thought that I meant "you can't be a goth if you like the smiths". It would be a fair accusation of "elitism" if someone sai...

Re: Re-re-run of currently watching

I've only ever walked out of one film at the cinema: "Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd" and I was only persuaded to go at all against my better judgement. Although, when Kerry and I went to see "Crash" (the 1996 Cronenberg movie, not any of the other films of the same name), by the end of the...

Re: Totally Insane fb

The thing that gets me down the most about the FB group is that you're guaranteed that someone will post one of the (very small number of) official Sisters videos.

Every.

Single.

Day.

Does any of them think that they're sharing something new? What is the point?

Just a thought but why were the BBC sessions never released back in the 80s?

Oh. Wait. Was Eldritch unco-operative? (And I don't mean he was operating an unco.)

Confession time: I've started Bulgakov's Master and Margarita (as everyone tells me just how great a piece of literature it is) and I just can't finish it. It's nonsense.

I think Heinlein was right; whatever the purpose of Russian fiction is, it can't possibly be for entertainment.

Re: RSD BBC Sessions release

£42 being discussed as a cheeky price and yet others here don't bat an eye at talking about €1000+ for a copy of the frankly terrible 'Damage Done' single. The obsession remains strong even away from Farcebook. Good point. And I'm not even going to mention the absurd prices some bootlegs sell for. ...

Not sure if Dan was still happily married to a young Patsy Kensit at that point in 1991. If he was, then I would imagine he spent the majority of his time onstage smiling. A lot
They divorced in '91 so I guess not

Are they actually fire bricks? I may be telling you what you already know, but a lot of modern bricks it's not safe to get them hot; they have plastics in them and stuff. Good old fashioned Burmandtofts house-bricks you're fine up to about 1500C though ;D
