Re: Hold the front page! Some news happened. Film at 11

Another reason not to use Spotify. They'd rather play Joe Rogan's lies than Neil Young's music. Just goes to show you how much they care about music & care more about revenue streams. This is just it. For the life of me I can't understand why Joe Rogan has an audience. He even had that fool ...

"I Sing The Body Electric" is a poem by Walt Whitman, and Bradbury nicked the title from him.

The censor/filter on Wayne and his band are just a bit of an in-joke. We love him dearly, really.

I think the current state of my mum's health means that I'm probably going to prioritise seeing her this weekend. I'm aware that many of my fans will be devastated to miss me  but I can only apologise.

Re: COVID-19 coronavirus

...one of the things that may help is an alarm system that can be worn around the neck or as a bracelet that can be pressed if she has a fall again. it alerts a system that sends someone around. the key to door is in a tiny box next to the door with a code that the caretakers have to be able to get...

Re: COVID-19 coronavirus

Thank you. Seriously. The weird thing is how quickly she'd deteriorated. I saw her over Christmas, getting to her on Xmas eve and leaving on Boxing day. She was tired and sleepy, but seemed fully in possession of all her faculties. But then in the early hours of Dec 28, I got a phone-call at 4:30am ...

Re: On criticism of Edritch and post-2000 Sisters

It's all elitist bullspit from my perspective, "You can't be a real Sisters fan unless you were one of the five people at this gig in 1982" kinda thing. There have always been problems with Eldritch's voice. There have always been problems with the sound. There has never been a live bass guitarist. ...

Re: COVID-19 coronavirus

My mum caught Covid a few weeks ago despite being triple-jabbed (she thinks she caught it on a coach-trip although what possessed her to go on a coach-trip in the middle of a fcuking pandemic is completely beyond me) and now seems to have post-Covid "brain-fog". She is recovering, but slowly, and sh...

Re: RIP Anne Rice -Author of Interview With The Vampire & The Vampire Lestat etc.

I think Dan Brown has probably written more books than he's read. As for Stephenie (and yes, that is how she spells it) Meyer, well, rationalwiki 's takedown is hilarious. ========== I think you could argue that Interview With The Vampire kicked off the "urban fantasy" genre as a whole. I definitely...
