had Andrew wanted to release something independently, he could simply have fired Adam from the band. Or just written his own music. He's always said that he doesn't mind who does what as long as it gets done. But not much of it has been done in the last fifteen years and AE particularly seems to ha...

Saying that the major lables are empty husks run by accountants and skeleton crews is correct. I worked for a major label, Universal, for the past four years as the Marketing Represenative for the state of Ohio. Last Friday I got laid off. Me, and the majority of the Field Marketing staff, lost our ...

Adam Pearson
I've been wondering... Why did Adam Pearson leave the Sisters? Did he get fed up with them not releasing anything, in particular the songs that he co-wrote? I've also heard that he gave a very revealing interview about the inner workings of the Sisters and this is why Eldritch sacked him? If this is...

St. Pauli Festival 2003
Just a quick question... I came across some photos in the Heartland gallery of Eldritch playing bass on stage at Sp. Tali festival 2003. It doesn't look like he is playing with the Sisters.....its in the middle of the day and the other people onstage, Ive no idea who they are. Its also the only time...

I believe that Dominion/Mother Russia is one of the finest political songs ever written. The lyrics are incredibly dense, complicated, creative, and work on many different levels. I remember the first time I heard the song, I was blown away. I had to spend a good amount of time analyzing the lyrics....

Eldritch's Lyrics.
One of the things that grabbed me the first time I listened to Floodland (and thus the Sisters of Mercy) was the quality of Andrew Eldritch's lyrics. His lyrics were quite multilayeered and complex, making great use of unusual metaphors and vivid visual imagery to create something really special. I ...

Have The Sisters Ever Used Live Keyboardists, etc?
Hello Everyone! This is my first post, but I've been an off and on reader for a few years now. I am 26 and a long time Sisters of Mercy fan, I love the music and I think Eldritch is a quality lyricist. Floodland-Vision Thing Era Sisters is a big influence on the music I make myself. I even got to se...
