Re: Sisters 2025 ...
I really thought more dates would have been confirmed by now. :| Giving Lille some consideration, but that's very much dependant on what's happening after the Roundhouse dates. The Sisters don't usually do summer tours do they? Just festival dates. I wouldn't be surprised to see a handful of non Lo...

Re: Incident in '84?
Afterhours and A Rock & A Hard Place are two different events, at two different times, with two different people. Afterhours was a drug-fuelled night in a hotel in 1983; the other person was probably Patricia Morrison (who played in the Gun Club at the time, and we can be certain that whatever ...

Re: Incident in '84?
I seem to remember ages ago reading an interview about the Body and Soul EP where :von: said that Afterhours was about an incident that happened in New York. I also remember him later being asked about the "methedrine" line in LMR and him saying that he got offered meth once in NYC years ...

Re: Politics? Nah
There are a lot of emotive arguments around this, and I'm happy to accept that people would rather vote for a rapist than a woman if it means their fuel and food are cheaper, but I'm not happy to accept that isn't misogynist.

The extra tracks are underwhelming, I have the original cd and I'll buy the reissue but not interested in getting it on vinyl . Good news about potencial new gigs though.

There hasn't been one for thirty years so I've managed to get used to it. That said I wouldn't say no to a live bass player and the return of Emma.

Re: Vision Thing revisited
Without checking, I wonder if the current setlist only includes one song from Wake, that being "Alice" "Marian" No, on recent dates they are not playing it, rather they are playing the new song Quantom Baby. They may have switched it back in again but certainly on some on the da...

Re: Vision Thing revisited
I'm inclined to agree with @abridged - this has aged the best out of the three albums. It's the one I use as a gateway when introducing the Sisters to friends, particularly if they're more inclined to trad rock. Lyrically, it has some fine moments. None more so than "I Was Wrong". It is d...

Re: Sisters 2025 ...
I like Rock City, it's my local venue but I know the secret stairs from the basement so I always go up them and stand near the bar on the right hand side of the venue. Even when sold out there is a bit of room. Of course other than that it's a sh*t venue when it's full.

Re: The Worst Gig You've Ever Seen
Another Rock City one, 15 year's or so ago Black Metallers Satyricon played, they were the darlings of the extreme metal press at the time so when we arrived it was a surprise to see them playing the small basement bar, apparently they simply hadn't sold enough tickets. The support band played and w...

Re: 2024-09-27: Coca Cola Roxy, Atlanta, GA, USA
Someone on Facebook was saying this was the worst gig they'd ever seen? Same guy also said it was all dubbed, when confronted with the fact that how come is it dubbed if von keep getting wrong lyrics and queues ins show after show, he backed up and said it was the synths, bass and drums. This mf wr...

Re: What song that hasn't been performed recently would you like to hear again?
Sorry but it just literally is the case that performance royalties matter. If the BBC's assessment is correct and it's £1.50 per ticket if the ticket is 50 quid then presumably that is spread out over a lot of people then. Everyone that contributes to the Sisters setlist (including Dolly Parton if ...

Re: What song that hasn't been performed recently would you like to hear again?
The band doesn't pay performance royalties for live covers. The venue pays that. Given that setlists, famously, aren't infinite, there's logically fixed amount of money that any given show can generate in performance royalties for the band. My point was that, save for a smattering of mandatory clas...
