Re: What do you think really changed in Andrew's handling of the band/brand?
. A pity about the Pearson-penned songs, but I think there is enough material to put together a record of respectable quality. The "Pearson said no " argument has been around for decades, but is it actually true? If Von wants to release them surely he can, he doesn't need anyone's permiss...

My opinion (again unpopular) is that AE cannot release records (contract obligations etc) and his views are a way to camoflage this and still appear cool to all his fans (including me). https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/d8z1qwd62w05z9swg9uoh/von.png?rlkey=er8yh3d40odro7xk260hx5gbh&st=zkch810q&...

Based on the fact that Huss-bag is a reigning champion of being lame Really? He's contributed to the forthcoming Gary Marx record and made no mention of it as an attempt to have some kind of feud against Eldritch. In his books he generally speaks well of Von. It's Adams that thinks he's a twit. Wha...

Re: Dylan Smith
Well he did watch them from the side of the stage at Mera Luna the other year, before playing with the Sisters. So he's obviously mates with them and a fan of the band. I doubt he's trying to do any stirring / winding up, I doubt he'd be that lame. So do I - but I don't doubt that Huss-bag would be...

Just got a long sleeved top off eBay I've never seen about. Slightly waffle type weave, described as thermal. Embroidered new logo on front with the word SISTERS. Reptile House label and seems as new. Embroidery slightly not straight with the weave so dunno, a test? Love it. https://photos.app.goo....

Inflation is an international phenomenon. If Trump gets in where will that leave the Ukraine and the rest of Europe? It's an interesting question. If the worldwide rise in inflation is partly driven by the war in Ukraine, the way it affects grain supply and the access to oil, is there an argument t...

Do New Model Army count? Pretty sure they played on the years I went, 1999 or 2002, more likely 99 but dunno, I didn't see them. If New Model Army count then Im saying The Levellers. If you're having The Levellers than I'm having Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine who actually headlined the festiva...

I'll go : I'd like someone to explain to me in layman's terms why in a country of over 330 million human beings, the only candidates in the electoral race are a convicted criminal (who happens to be a pathological liar) and a frail octogenarian. So here in the UK if a leader is particularly useless...

Nottingham 2006 was pretty foggy as I recall. There is a poor DVD bootleg of it so it might be on Youtube

If it's called "Dark Christmas" it's a good bet that the band had nothing to do with it. I'm unaware of it, is it another bootleg?

I stay near Glasgow and assumed I could get a direct flight to New York.... but no. I would have to change at Dublin. Not an issue for most people. But my legs don't work properly, meaning attempting that journey alone, even with airport assistance, would be ridiculously stressful. I would also nee...

450 dollars to see the Sisters? Crikey. You would be somewhat miffed if you paid that and they brought the smoke machine back on full strength.

Re: If The Sisters of Mercy made another album, what songs would you want to be on it?
I just don’t understand why they don’t released any live captation if Von doesn’t want to spend the rest of his life in studio. It’s easy now via Bandcamp and they owned all the copyrights. It might be 30 odd years since the last studio album, but the Sisters have NEVER released a live album. Best ...

Re: Record Store Day April 2024.
Yeah, but why bother? This RSD started with some interesting stuff ten years ago. Live, rare or even unreleased stuff at reasonable prices, double vinyls for 35-40€, single ones in the 20's... But that's gone, now it's all re-releases and price has doubled. Why? Because we buy them anyway, so they ...

Only songs from the current era, as IMO it would make a more coherent sound. The older unreleased songs can be released on the quick follow-up album to capitalize on the first one's success :) Greatest Hits Volume 2: A Major Case of Not Bothering :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :not...
