Here you hear the difference between a singer and a crooner ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Xk_5DpsRxI IZ. It doesn't look like he is lip syncing on the Top Of The Pops performance, but the music is definitely all coming from a backing tape. But the vocals look and sound live. I guess that is Te...

I love Bowie's "Outside", it's one of my favorite albums ever. Definitely one of my desert island discs! I really love the fusion of rock, electronics and jazz on it. I doubt Bowie is bothered by Eldritch's criticism, he's in a totally different league... and Bowie has released about 7 or ...

Glad you found it interesting Obviousman and Million Voices! Korea is a really fascinating place with a complex history. I always got the impression that Eldritch seriously studied the cold war and military/political matters... so I thought that these North Korean photos were vaguely appropriate for...

You rock. Thanks! I'll get to those here in a bit; I've put Flametracer back on again. I think this one's going to be a keeper. I love the bass on it. Is he using a fretless? I don't know what kind of guitars he used... I just know he used a huge array of different effects pedals! Make sure you che...

Ah, some nice gear or what! :notworthy: That R3 is also nice, Sam has it on loan for a while. The Oberheim, me envious! I'd love a synthi or the like, but alas, they are a tad steep in price ;) Sam has a K2000 as well, the Kurzweil racksynth, it is very nice but he uses it only sporadically. And it...

Not as much as I want to have ;) Mostly softsynths as you can see, my only 'real' synth is the Roland XP50, 20 years of age now and becoming vintage as we speak :D The Folktek is a follie which is highly enjoyable. What music do you make? And enjoying music is the most important; releasing cd's is ...

The new album deal with MUTE RECORDS that never happened?

Hi. I've noticed a few comments on these forums that seem to infer that The Sisters Of Mercy were in negotiations to release the new album on MUTE RECORDS (Daniel Miller's label) but then for some reason it never happened. I would have thought that MUTE would be the perfect home for the Sisters, the...

One of my favorite Yello songs is Desire: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zAMJp9roqU I seriously think The Sisters Of Mercy should cover this song, the lyrics and music would suit Eldritch perfectly... "the sun, blowing the moon away... lights me up for one more day... the streets are naked, in...

I got into the Sisters purely by chance. I was in a public library that loaned out CDs as well as books. I saw the Vision Thing CD sitting on a shelf and the cover intrigued me. I had never heard of The Sisters Of Mercy but I thought I'd take a chance on it because the cover looked cool.
