@eldritch1969: Have you the checked the wiki? There is a picture of a cassette which contains the Brighton 1985 concert. There's also a recording of that gig somewhere in the sharing section, if I remember that correctly  No I hadn't but thanks I have now. It looks very similar except that th...

i don't think it's uncommon -certainly i've got it on cd and cassette- but there's always the possibility of a differnt source...you'd need to talk to the Anorak Division. The only thing I know about source is it's Leeds Market!! Anorak Division is third left after the newb induction hall? Cheers f...

Dur!! Thanks. That was exactly it. By the way, is it a bootleg worth sharing or is it as common as muck?

What happened to the Sharing section? Did I miss something?

I finally dug out an old bootleg tape I bought in the arcade in Leeds in 1985. 1st April 1985, Gary Marx's last gig at the Top Rank in Brighton. I was going to share it. Don't know if it is rare or not but it might be historically interesting. But nowhere to share it!

I'm only new here with a few posts. But I'm a big Sisters fan. I joined the forum because I wanted to join in with fellow fans - to gripe, moan, praise, share jokes, have a bit of fun. I'm not an old guard so I don't know James at all and I can only give the point of view of a very recent member. Wh...

Ofc I bought the DD single since I thught that I would find the Echoes box somewhere else which I never did   That's sad brother. I'm sure it'll turn up one day. I went to see the Smiths in 1986. in 2013, 27 years later, I found a DVD video bootleg of the self same concert. I was gob sma...

Tell you what, I'll change it anyway and then we can all have a good laugh at my early 80s college days! Circa FALAA.

Haha. So are drummers but we also get loads of stick - difference between a drummer and a shopping trolley anyone? It's an in joke. I'll change it if you're really offended.

I love the Smiths. Probably as important a band to me as The Sisters. But Morrissey was, is and always has been an unutterable cock. Johnny Marr on the other hand is one of my guitar heroes.

Good for you man. Good for you. Bit of a side line but I clearly remember being 16 and catching the 16a from Wetherby to Leeds to go and buy my gatefold copy of FALAA the day it came out. You don't get the same sensation in these days of instant gratification, getting your music took longer in those...

Thanks for the warm welcome folks. I've already worked out there's a lot of knowledgeable folks in here so I think my input is going to be limited to sarcasm and a bit of fun!!

And no I'm not Belgian. I'm not that sick. ;o) I've lived all over the UK but I'd say now that I'm from Stoke-on-Trent. The band that I was in was never as good as The Sisters but, I'm pretty certain that I was a better drummer than AE. I'm glad he took up singing. That deep baritone and those fanta...

Thanks again all. Nikolas - I think it was the May 82 gig at Leeds Warehouse. That would certainly make sense with the guys I was hanging around with at the time. But I never got my hands on the tape so I can't be certain.

Pros: 1) Ease of cleaning (the wife does it) 2) Suits the lazy person in all of us 3) Nothing to stub your toe on 4) Bigger shower tray, twice the size - handy for urinating on and not getting your feet yellow 5) Hangover friendly. If need be you can lie down and adopt the fetal position 6) You can ...

Bathrooms and kitchens no. Dodgy tarmac drives? Now you're talking. Walk in showers - great if like me you're too lazy to even open a door - the lower shower tray helps with a hangover as well. Thanks for the good wishes. I'm hoping I might have a bootleg or two that some people haven't got, like Ma...

New to Heartland

Heartland - my favourite Sisters track (of many) so very apt to be here. I read that it was courteous to introduce myself first. So here I am. I lived in Leeds in the early 80's and after listening to a very poor quality bootleg in 1982 the Sisters became my favourite band and have been ever since. ...
