Re: Book: Waiting For Another War
Thanks for linking to the interview. To me the description of Andrew Eldritch in your book was very balanced and definitely not overly critical. Like you, Trevor, I always admired those traits of character and tried to adhere to them myself. He actually comes across as a likable and interesting, mul...

Re: Book: Waiting For Another War
I was really amazed at the lyric analysis and felt you made a lot of sense there. I loved the whole book from the first to the last page and especially the lyric analysis! Sometimes I had come to the same interpretations and sometimes I was just confused by certain lyrics. For example I had not real...

As I understand it, it is certain that you don’t get any symptoms. If you can’t transmit the disease is so far uncertain. And I really don’t understand that there are so many people in Germany who don’t want to be vaccinated.

Just a brief update before we see the back of 2020 ... the structural (or development) edit has been completed. Nothing major needed, so minimal re-writing. It is going for detailed copy editing early in January. Same time as the legal read. Unbound have chosen their cover image - very, very famili...

I recently had a vaccination against the flu and my doctor said not to expect normality before 2022. I refuse to believe that though. Would be too frustrating. Still hoping to see old Von at M‘Era Luna in August.

I still can’t believe this is really happening. Have been reading about the „progress“ in the brexit negotiations every day, failing to believe it is going to end like this. Living in Germany we always looked to the UK in the eighties for bands, fashion, youth culture and much more. I‘ve personally ...

Thanks for the pic.
Gives a much better impression of what he looks like now than the picture of the wedding reception.
Suits can sort of change a person quite a bit.

Re: But Genevieve
It would be ignored by a great many people, but also reviewed by the best as one of most eagerly awaited follow up albums in decades. The weight of critical pressure would kill it, tbh. Unless it was a 27 star rated album (out of 5 stars, obvs), it would get trashed by the music press. Similarly, i...

Have been thinking quite a bit whether I believe there is going to be a new record. And I have decided that I do. My copy arrived today too!
The book looks so good, lots of rare or previously unpublished photos and the first glance promises a very interesting reading. Thank you very much, Trevor! That‘s an amazing work.
By the way, no import tax here either.

Even in the early nineties a Mercedes wasn‘t THAT expensive in Germany. I don‘t think it was ever such a luxury symbol as in some other countries. Somewhere on the official website I read some time ago that he offered it for sale. I think there was mentioned he was driving a Nissan Petrol „now“ - wh...

Also ordered mine and annoyed about postage. Seems like we are supprting the US mail now, so the election can take place even though Trump withheld the support to the US Mail to stop people from voting by letter.
