Re: Spot in Classic Rock magazine. Bass player?

Yeah, this would only happen if Von wanted it to. I don't think he's ever been particularly motivated by what others want him to do. But, maybe he'd like to shake things up a bit more too. Like, he's been doing this for a long time, and there's only so much time left to keep doing it. Like, don't ge...

Re: Official Sisters Merch

Aw s**t. Waited a day to order a shirt, and XL is sold out on the cool new blue and yellow ones.

(Also, knowing the age profile of Sisters fans, slightly disappointing to see there's no XXL option.)

Re: Sisters spotting

That's what I would have presumed - they'd be able to pull a slider down to mute the programmed bass tracks, or as Husek said above, just click the mute box.

Re: Sisters spotting

Would it not be as simple as just pulling down a slider? Surely the drum tracks and bass tracks are mixed live separately?

Spot in Classic Rock magazine. Bass player?

Great photo in that review. Agree about the bass. Had a conversation on twitter with Chris C last week and he's still keen on doing it, so you never know. Increasingly, I could see it happen. Von has been resistant to change over the last twenty years, but . . . there's been more change lately than ...

Re: "Black Album" bootleg - Eldritch/Pearson demos

I gotta say, I'm playing these loud right now on a couple of Homepods and they sound like old friends. It's very nice to have. I don't think they're fan made. It's possible I suppose. But a huge amount of work has gone into these. I know there are some oddball obsessives out there (ha, who am I kidd...

Re: "Black Album" bootleg - Eldritch/Pearson demos

Tracked down those demos and yeah, I agree, they're far too polished to not be real. The drum sounds are a bit off, but my god, some of them sound really good.

Shame.

Re: Von interview courtesy of Mr Andrews...

Yeah, I'd say they probably realised that they have gigs planned for next year and if they played two or three brand new songs in London, with a big break before the next gigs in March 2022, they'd lose some of the momentum they're riding high on. If they hang on to them and drip feed them out, they...

Two free tickets for tonight’s show to anyone who would like them. DM me here, and I’ll forward them on. I can’t go. Would like them to go to a real fan.

Re: Von interview courtesy of Mr Andrews...

Amazing what a difference some intelligent questions make :) DId he pass any verdict on the book? He was not interviewed for it, he has not read any of it and will not read any of it. That makes it a very different book than if any of those things were the case. And I'm pretty sure he's fine with t...

Re: Sisters London

Looks like I'm not going. Got two tickets for Sunday night and am very happy for the band to get the cash. (I'd rather be giving it to them for records AS WELL as gigs and teeshirts, but hey, let's not go there.) A combination of work commitments at home, the hassle of getting there from Dublin and ...

Re: New interview with Ben

Von doesn't want to do interviews because he's done a lot of them over the years, and also I would guess because he knows all anyone really wants to ask him about is a new album. Easier to avoid the question than to trot out the 'we record all the time' line he's been using for 30 years.

Re: New interview with Ben

I'm looking forward to the shows, and love the new material . . . but this is a depressing interview. Ben does mention being 'in the studio' but then says there are no plans to record.

Real shame. I know that's nothing new for this place, but even so. A lad can hope.

Re: 2021-09-10, Roundhouse, London UK

Yeah, I'm in two minds about this. If you're in the UK, this might seem odd, but in Ireland, we're a lot more cautious in terms of our covid measures. I'd be a lot happier if there was some communication from The Roundhouse about how they intend to handle things. I want to know if they're looking at...

Re: 2021-09-10, Roundhouse, London UK

I have tickets for this gig, but to be honest, haven't decided yet whether to travel from Ireland for it. Covid and all that. I'm fully vaccinated but not sure I want to be in a gig environment just yet, let alone an airplane, tube etc. Will probably decide the week of the gig, although that means t...
