Re: NEW SONGS!

Any of the unreleased stuff recorded in a studio would get high rotation in my day to day. He should at least set the bar before peacing out. Agree 100%. I am also curious about this because no one lives forever, and I wonder if he has any agency about releasing new material, or reissuing old stuff...

Re: NEW SONGS!

I'm not 100% sure that Von's voice is completely gone, he seems to speak just fine. I just assume it's his attempts at shouting on stage that really lets the cracks show through. If he sang in an "inside voice" I picture he would sound a lot less gravely, but that's just pure speculation on my part.

Re: RSD BBC Sessions release

Wake is long overdue a reissue, but who knows who owns the rights to that nowadays. I'd take a rerelease of Wake in a heartbeat especially if it was released on blu-ray. According to the sisters wiki it seems the distribution rights were held by RCA, who through years of corporate shuffling and acq...

Re: famous covers

System of a Down - Marian (did a short live rendition) Thank you for bringing this cover to my attention, I had no idea it existed. System of a Down is definitely one of my favorite bands, and seeing them cover another one of my favorite bands is something I didn't know I needed! :notworthy: :notwo...

James Ray and the Performance 'Merciful Releases 1986-1989' added to Spotify

First off sorry if this isn't the right section to post this in, I wasn't sure since it has to do with the Merciful Release label. If this is the wrong place please feel free to delete or move the post! So I was just browsing spotify today at work, and noticed that James Ray and the Performance was...

Re: Rumours and half baked truths . . .

Wasn't there a rumor floating around that 'But Genevive' was supposed to be released as a single last year during the summer prior to the pandemic mucking everything up? Also if they were to release a new album wouldn't they have to go through WEA, or maybe the BBC sessions got them out of their con...

Anyone listen to the Kerrang interview? Anything interesting said? Listening to it now so i'll make a quick bullet point list for anyone who doesn't have the chance to listen. Also for anyone that does want to listen the interview starts around the 2 hour mark of the broadcast. -The host was origin...

Re: John Robb Youtube interview with Chris Catalyst

Very insightful interview, I'm glad to hear that that Von seems to have made genuine friends out of Ben and Chris in their time together. The thing that has me concerned though was when Chris decided to take his break to focus on other projects he mentioned there was an air of disloyalty about the w...

Re: RSD BBC Sessions release

Of course, I'd prefer if it was done by the band themselves, but maybe it'll light a fire under Von. Who wouldn't be annoyed at the idea that someone other than you is making money off of you? There's gold in them there hills. Maybe this will be the inciting incident that will egg Von on to get the...

Re: Re-re-run of currently watching

Finally got around to watching twin peaks. As a big David Lynch fan, i'm surprised I've slept on this show for so long. Season 3 was crazy have you ever watched "the grandmother". it makes erazorhead look like the magic roundabout Oh yeah, that one is simply brilliant. I love all of his short films...

Favorite Bands, and your favorite albums from them?

Hello gang, I'm sure this question has been answered a dozen times on this forum but with all these new people (myself included) I wanna know what you're listening to! I wanna spice it up a little however, not only what are your favorite bands but what are your favorite albums by them and why? For m...

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 isn't a Sisters fan

I've been playing the game for quite some time now (over a 100 hours on my trusty old PS4 ) and despite all the media backlash, it's jolly good fun. I really agree, I just beat it (Did johnny's end) and it's such a great game! Big fan of RPGs and this one blew it out of the water. I get what people...

Re: Terri Nunn

I did not like UTG the first time I heard it, it was much too corny for my taste. But after several months I thought what the hey, let's give it another go. Kinda glad I did, because while the song definitely reeks of a verbose 80s power ballad, the contributions Von made to the original (Two World'...

I just hope he has it in him for 1 more album, or shoot i'd even take a single at this point lol. There are some great tunes that are stuck behind being live (But Genevive is an excellent example), and I get it, he has reached a point in his life where it's not really necessary for him to do anythin...

Re: Gift reissue plus extras

This was announced what, 15 months ago? Can anyone vouch for their track record with other releases? Twitter feed has bits about Killing Joke, Peter Hook, etc. Still think that if this has to go through AE, it's never going to happen. I don't think he's been behind any re-release of material? CD an...

For the record, I'm in the camp of those grateful for the YouTube videos. Some of them do sound and look good, and there's songs I wouldn't have heard (yet) if it wasn't for them. Also, it's nice to gigs that you've been to, although I appreciate if one lives in the States this is going to be an on...

Re: NEW SONGS!

I just hope Eldritch has it in him for 1 more album as wishful thinking that is. The most recent material they've shown off in my opinion is some of the strongest they've come up with while on tour, and it's such a travesty that they are relegated to only existing as just live songs. I mean I don't ...
