Interesting, thanks. But why is playing Giving Ground so significant? „What you have lost can never be found“ … Agree with the symbolism, but ‘Giving Ground’ has also been played other times recently, e.g. at one of the two US shows (Silver Spring/Washington, DC, area) I saw on the US tour mid-year.

Yes, Von made reference to it a few times. "well that happened", etc.
You can’t really hide from something like this. You really need to acknowledge it on stage.

All that I can understand just fine. I just don't really know where they go from here. It’s all a great shame. I saw them twice in the US this summer. I enjoyed the shows in the States. I thought Dylan was good; also enjoyed meeting him after one of the shows. With a will, I’m sure SoM will keep go...

I really enjoyed the Philadelphia show. I had also seen them in Silver Spring on May 10, and the sound was definitely better in Philadelphia.

Hmm… so they made up for AE being quiet by pulling everything back rather than boosting him up…

Thanks for sharing. I saw them at Silver Spring. The mix seems clearer here. I’m seeing them again in Philadelphia — hoping they stay with the better sound from here! :)

Re: 2023-05-10. The Fillmore DC, Silver Spring, MD

Interesting to see video from Sick New World just a few days later in which Von sounds great. So either he had a cold or vocal problem at this gig and was trying to preserve his voice while still delivering a show, or there genuinely was some sort of f**k up at the sound desk. I think it was the je...

Look, you still get the undeniable charisma of the whole enterprise, don't you? There's definitely that innate "Sisters-ness" that transcends the confusing parts. Some would say that the confusing parts may even be the most important parts, but this is a million different bands to a milli...
