Re: Von on films in Creem Mag

lush primary colors (Mario Bava; Planet of the Vampires) One thing which has delighted me about this interview is something I'd previously suspected from Eldritch's comments about John Carpenter: he and I have a very similar taste in film. To that end, as a total Bava fiend and professional pedant,...

Shows currently watching : Penguin, From and LotR-PR. Finished Ripley, what a awesome show. Movie last seen : The substance. Wow, just wow! Tonight watching : MaXXXine. The Substance was brilliant, blew me away. Not sure if it's that one or Furiosa as my fave film of the year so far... The Penguin ...

Re: Von on films in Creem Mag

My picks from the interview. The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, great film, love it too. Own steelbook. IMO 4K coming. The Lord of the Rings, disagree with Von. Tho, of course the books are better. Silmarillion the best. Empire Strikes Back , love it. Star Trek, never been a fan, can watch but ... nope. E...

Re: The Sisters album names

"Some Girls Wander By Mistake" is a line from Leonard Cohen's Teachers, which was covered by the Sisters on their first demo tape. It's a very apt title for a compilation of early material, but I always thought Von missed a trick by not releasing a follow-up named "Into The Mess That...

Re: The Sisters album names

Two of them are just named after lead songs (alright, FALAA is the lead song of side two, but you get the point), which I agree is a bit boring. Floodland, on the other hand, strikes me as a really good title, which ties in with the cover, and also hints at a key theme of the album. Kinda agree you...

I'm going in the love child of Faith & Disintegration direction I think.
There's absolutely zero pop on it & the songs are monumental
Oh darn, you make the wait even harder. lol.

The Sisters album names

The Sisters official album names ... are a bit dull. But compilations have cool names, I mean "Some Girls Wander By Mistake" and "A Slight Case Of Overbombing". Ever wondered why is that? Eldritch, if any1, should come up with catchy titles.

Re: Proof, Morrisey's a Wank of the Highest Order

Ever noticed how every album Mozza has done in a long time is on a different label and, well, it doesn't go well and he always throws a hissy fit about how bad the label were to him and the album flopped because of this, that and the other and nothing to do with the quality of the album in question...
