It apparently doesn't have run off groove inscriptions - would this indicate that it is lathe cut? Or have they been scratched out?

Is this boot really from the late 1980s as the sisters wiki has it? I've been collecting sisters stuff on and off since c1987, and had not heard of this before it popped up on ebay c8 years ago. Seems more likely to be a recent boot, given the style of sleeve (hand numbered on the spine, gatefold co...

Does anyone know if the versions of songs on La Costa Rasa's Merciful Release 'Autopilot' CD are the same as on their original 'Last Of The Baby Boomers' LP of 2 years earlier? I have the CD, but never heard the LP. Interestingly Claire Shearsby, Andy's ex, is noted as producer of both.

Just what is the connection to the Impossible Dreamers?!? Never have managed to get to the bottom of that one? :? Probably no connection at all. Probably a coincidence - two people thought of the same name and liked it. Hhm, but why would The Sisters of Mercy start releasing with catalogue# MR07, i...

I don't buy many, if any, bootlegs these days. This may be in part as I don't have a turntable set up, or have much time to devote to listening to music as I used to. The high prices some are put up for is also a factor as I cannot justify the expense. I don't see bootlegs as exploitative of the fan...

The next initiation rite is washing her mouth with soap. That's why Theresa May, for example, is not a witch.

Most of those campaigning to leave the EU appear to be on the right in politics generally, and many of them wish to see the dismantling of the NHS, so their suggestion that the money 'saved' by leaving would go into improving the NHS is a blatant lie. The EU has many problems, it is geared towards b...

I think the music industry got it wrong with multiple new formats being let loose on the public at the same time. It's a bit like giving a car buyer a choice of 2000 paint colours. The decision process becomes longer & will always leave a niggling doubt that you chose the right thing. To allow SACD...
