Chris Starling Live Tracks

Anyone got a copy of these (http://www.spencerbayles.com/starlings/mp3.html) they can bung over to me? I've been mainlining his two albums for a bit recently and remembered this set was out there, but I can't find them and they're not online anymore...

There's another good interview with TJ somewhere (who apparently played most of the bass on the record) where he says he was having loads of trouble with the Something Fast bassline (too slow apparently...), so Eldy had to sit down and record it himself.

Nay way am I spending than on a regular zippo.

They did a silver version if I remember rightly, which cost about that much back then!

Ah, tis your good self. What's going on old man?

Thanks for the kind words all -- we shall be across to Leeds in the near future (once this pesky first gig is out the way).

No doubt in somewhere salubrious like the Cardigan Arms or Pack Horse :-D

Well that's a shame -- I can't even summon a pic of one up from the googles -- have to just go and sob over a pic of one in UTG.

I disagree, Paterson Joseph is excellent. Neverwhere isn't really a fair way to assess anyone, it was an abortion of an adaption. He's strong in most stuff, has a great intensity and a proven comic touch -- all very Doctory qualities. Plus , regardless of race, he's very *different* from Tennant. Th...

I got into the Sisters round about 92, so that was the sound I expected from them -- actually took me a while to fall in love with a lot of SGWBM because of the production (though inevitably, the raw power and hookiness of Adrenochrome and Anaconda pull you right in). Suffice to say, anyone dissing ...

Glass -- 'my' new band

I say 'my'. I'm a hired bass-slinger, which is just dandy by me.

Check it out, may be of interest to some of you reprobates ... demos only at the mo, first gig start of next month.

WANTED: Sisters Zippo Lighter

Just started smoking again and feel the need for one of those early 90's 'slow, hot, death, metal' SOM lighters.

Anyone got a spare they'd flog me?

'A lIfe in the Theatre' – Leeds, This Saturday

Been asked to plug my mates play. They're doing a few dates round Yorkshire and are playing Leeds on Saturday. Anyone round Leeds area should pop down for a look if they like theatre and that -- it's really rather good. It's David Mammets 'A lIfe in the Theatre' and it's on at The Carriageworks on S...

Wasn't there, but having spent three years at York uni, am 100% sure they're completely different buildings.

Vanbrugh is much more likely. Plus I've played there so don't ruin it for me.

In fairness, all this stuff has been there for about four years, and has been found, and re-found many times.

I love it when people dig it out again - always good for a giggle.

The 404 is still the funniest thing Von has said / written.

Very happy bunny over here - YCBTO currently on VERY loud.

Easily the best lyrics AE has ever penned. Who needs a new album - Romeo Down sucks in comparison to this stuff.
