DV8 Fest

Anyone going to DV8 fest this year? http://www.dv8fest.com/ They've put together a stunning lineup, I can't believe they got the Furs to play York! Absolutely gutted I can't go, I'm already committed to another festival, on a topic as close to my heart as alternative music... (http://grillstock.co.u...

Got another code for this season -- 30% off if anyone, or anyone's other halves might want some discount clobber.

DM me, I'm not allowed to post it online.

More excited for this than Avengers even. And I'm pretty darn excited about that.

Great teaser site with Guy Pearce as Weyland himself... https://www.weylandindustries.com/

I like the idea of her sole contribution to the recorded catalogue being 'Emma'. Which has three notes if memory serves.

And I always used to play Lucretia with an 8th rest after the E (though I acknowledge it's not there on the recording).

Can't someone knock together a tight as fook backing track and then assemble a passable Eldy vocal over the top from a smattering of soundboard recordings? I reckon we can release this album on our own if we all pull together.

There used to be a good midi file of 1959 online which I used to learn it on piano.

Afaik it was programmed originally though and never actually played on a piano.

I always assumed synth bass. I think there's a rough demo that definitely has synth bass, and I don't see why they'd have changed it, especially for something so simple.

Only real bass lines that jump to mind are Driven and This Corrosion.

I've got one, and though I don't play it much any more, the Fallout games are all amazing, and super addictive. Gears of War series is pretty good too. GTA games are always fun, but a bit too time consuming for my schedule. If you like 'the sport' then I'm told fifa is good, but I wouldn't be able t...

I'd say no for many reasons.

One of which is that they'd probably not get played in goth clubs. It's all tekkno tekkno with the gothsicles these days isn't it?

Aw, just signed up again and got sent this familiar list of useful links (mostly defunct sadly). I pored over the content of these as a youth! The Sisters of Mercy FAQ is somewhat out of date, it nevertheless has some very good information and will let you know which topics have been done to death p...

Haha, crazy. @Machine Regime It's an old old old old newsgroup email list that I joined in 97 (though it had been running for years before that) where we talked crap about the Sisters and wondered when the new album was coming (sound familiar?). If memory serves, that's where Quiffboy first posted a...
