Loved him. May ORAC guide you and the Liberator through the stars. :( A great program and a key part of my chlldhood.. Anyone else noted the bond between Avon and Orac? Always reminds me of Von and The Doktor... Taking this to extremes (Sisters in Space) Villa would have to Craig, Gan = Gary and Ta...

Under The Gun - TOTP 1993

Just seen the video clip on YOUTUBE from Travis Bickle and never realised the vocal is live.

While I'm sure I watched it live when broadcast back in the day I'd not realised it was live vocal track until tonight...

Great stuff!

can't recall the year - (but suspect it was 86/87) Red Rhino in YORK found a box of 25 BE's in their warehouse/stockroom.

These were as mint as the day they were issued - I only picked up a single copy to upgrade my own (sigh).

Any good musician who wrote a guitar riff is allowed to re-work it in any way they like, examples being Jimmy Page, Ray Davies....so why not Wayne? Its called 'Perfecting the Craft' - a well know musical idiom. You are not stupid people, you know the best product the Gris put out was when Wayne pla...

The iplayer usually keeps stuff on for 30 days thanks - appreciate that - at a guess it was on during early to mid May this year - basing that on the 30 day rule and the fact the NO PC&L aired mid July. Additionally - I'm really hop...

Now that the origins of the Damage Done sleeve image have been resolved :?: Partially resolved - we know the photographer and in what obscure journal the photograph was published, just not the location of the church: https://www.myheartland.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=24095&start=50 yes, granted... albei...

Red Dirt - Fontana STL 5540 from 1970 featuring Ken Giles

Now that the origins of the Damage Done sleeve image have been resolved and partly inspired by the excellent blog documenting the early 80's gigs I've been turning my thoughts to the Sisters recording studios and the producers. I'd already made a trip (with a fellow Heartlander) to the former site o...

I am really curious what "version" they are going to use.. the one we all heard or something else. You have to believe/hope that there's access to a soundboard recording of this show somewhere in the SF archive. Cannot believe they'd resort to a vinyl rip.. hang on a minute - forgot that's e...

Pere Ubu and Pure Ubu (Beer)

Although its supposedly named after a dog at the brewery, I can't help feeling someone at brewery must also be a fan or at least aware of the band..... https://puritybrewing.com/beers/pure-ubu/ anyways as a marketing ploy it worked - caught my attention on the shelves and had to but it - and glad I ...

St. Anthony An Ode to Anthony H Wilson

I'm transfixed by the beauty of this song and what it means to me... Undoubtedly helps that I love Your Silent Face and have a a fondness for Cello's and Violin... At least it isn't someone pretending to be :von: again. I liked it too - along with the Lambchop version of This...
