yes, all a tad adolescent really, which was an odd choice given that the audience demographic was dominated by 30 and 40 somethings.Spigel wrote:girls on coke girls on weed girls on coke girls on speed

I was surprised by the choice of support band - Ulterior sound rather trad early 90s goth (like Dream Disciples or Merry Thoughts), which I thought Eldo always shied well away from 'cos of the whole 'we are not goth' issue. They were pretty damn good too. Oh yes... and I was stone cold sober in the ...

Cool. That was probably the best Sisters gig I've been to in the last 8-10 years. Felt quite let down the last few times, but that was totally enthralling. I'm not overly keen on some of the souped up new versions of the oldes like Anaconda and Temple Of Love, but the slowed down Body Electric and t...

March Violets on BBC6
Andrew Collins is supposed to be playing some March Violets tracks from 9pm-12am tonight on BBC6Music. No idea if they will be session tracks or singles, but I'm sure it'll be worth staying up for!

What happened after was the Public Enemy tour, which seems to have been the point at which the wheels really started coming off. The band also started falling apart with Tony James leaving to revisit his puppet show, Bricheno for reasons that were never really too clear, and Bruhn for his solo care...

BBC6 1982 Peel Session tonight
According to their schedule, BBC6 Music is due to be playing the Sisters' 1982 Peel session at 4.30am tomorrow morning! Marc Riley played three of the four tracks a few weeks ago, but talked over each of the outros, which was a tad annoying - hopefully they will play them in their entirety tonight. ...

The version of this gig which has the Rosetta Stone track tacked onto the end is the one which I did for someone in a trade - possibly Mr Blast, I don't recall. A mate got the James Ray 'Dios Esta Todavia De Nuestro Lado - AD 1993' live disc when he ordered a couple of copies of the Peru4080 dvd - i...

I also heard back in the early 90s that the Sisters were the most bootleged band, although maybe that should have been with the caveat 'in comparison with the number of officially released albums'? There was an excellent article on bootelgs in the Guardian around that time which banged on about Dyla...

On a related topic - does anyone have digital broadcasts of the two Lorries Peel sessions? They have been played on BBC6 in the past couple of years. I have odd tracks, and FM broadcasts but not nice clean versions. Nightmare - Gideon Coe on BBC6 played two Lorries Peel tracks (Happy and Conscious ...
