Gap between gigs.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I'm going to see the Jesus & Mary Chain tonight which will be just the second time I've seen them.

I checked the date for the last time I saw them and it was May 8th 1986, supported by Sonic Youth, in other words a slightly disturbing thirty five and a half years ago. Is this a record?

Beats my best - Saw The Nephilim in September for the first time since 1991, and seeing NMA next week, also the first time since 1991

Saw Jesus and Mary Chain last night in Manchester, very good indeed. Darklands was ace and then the setlist for the second half was very good as well-enjoy.
As for gaps between seeing bands I saw the Rezillos in 1978-I think at Lancaster Uni and then in 2018 at Manc Academy. Suprised I survived never mind them...!

40 years won't be beaten I reckon.

I actually had a 16 year gap between Sisters Wembley 1990 and Astoria 2006 which on reflection is a bit silly. Wandered by mistake and all that.

I've seen The Fields Of The Nephilim twice, once in October 1990, once in October 2012. Only 22 years gap

Can't beat those statistics. My first concert was Harry Belafonte in Canada (1981). He's 94 now so I don't think I'll be seeing him again and making a 40 year gap. :)

Ride in 1991 and then again in 2018, only a paltry 27 year gap - not even on the podium!

Supporting The Cure both times, which was nice.

To be fair I couldn't have seen them for about 35 of those years as they were split or touring as the Revillos...!!

I saw Judas Priest in 1983, if I was to go and see them support Ozzy in 2024 that would be 41, but I don't have tickets and the tour will almost certainly never actually happen.
