that's REALLY good news
there seems to be a few GD supporters in the UK too (not that many though, thanksfully) - they need to meet the same fate as the greek party members

Bit of a result today.
Went to the supermarket to pick up a some bread & a 24 pack of beer & went to the self service checkout as usual. Scanned the bread & put it in the bagging area & then scanned the tray of beer. The tray has a barcode on the bottom but there are 2 scanners perpendicular to each other I guess to cater for weird shaped & large stuff. I scanned & plonked it in the bagging area & got the usual "authorisation needed, please wait" alert so the guy manning the checkouts could come & manually confirm I wasn't a school child. But the scanner must have read a barcode on one of the cans. Add to that the guy was so busy chatting to his mate he didn't bother to check what was in the bagging area. So I paid for one can of beer & walked out with 24.

My Hungarian driving license arrived just 3 days after surrendering my GB one.
Was expecting a 30 day wait, so 3 days is a bit brilliant really

The ADAC got my car running again ...
... within half an hour the car mechanic arrived , checked the generator (perfectly operative, fortunately ) and the battery (somewhat weak, ought to be taken under observation for a while) and with a jump-start and half an hour of
cruising all was fine again. I love the ADAC. Of course, I was more than an hour late, but hell. They reliably got me out of the mess so often
over the years and in situations far worse than being stuck with the car near home on XMas eve ... endless kudos from here ...
