Various failures, various dates

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

They're intense, everybody should see them live at least once, just for the experience.

They're okay (which is better, than I would say about some other bands). However, I'm not sure, if I would be going to see them live again if they were around close to my home ...

Saw them last year. They were great. Three hours of intensity and passion.

Never liked them myself. Saw a gig years ago somewhere on a festival I think, thought they were painfully loud, then tried some stuff from their discography and it doesn't talk to me much...

Saw some Youtube stuf from last year and still not my cup of tea.

Never been a fan TBH especially the recent stuff. Would rather have my teeth pulled than sit through the half hour title track of The Seer again. And I see the new album boasts a 34 minute long track

I would definitely have them headlining the main stage at the Over-Rated Festival. After Flaming Lips and Arcade Fire have suitably lowered expectations of course.

Not sure what 'dangerous' means, sounds a bit like marketing speak 'vital' to me. Michael Gira has always been uncompromising in his dedication to his art. Didn't always like all Swans stuff back in the day, don't like all of it now. But then and now most of it is bloody great.

I found The Seer tedious at best, but the new album sounds really good. Less funk.

Preview.

Gave the new tracks a listen on YouTube and am still underwhelmed. Sounds like Virgin Prunes covering the Birthday Party with Jah Wobble on bass.
