Best before dates? Best before dates is something high in fibre, else them things'll go through you like prunes through a short grandmother. Those kinds of dates don't sound like they were best before, during or after. The one saving grace about custard creams is that I've never heard that they can induce such distressing symptoms, more likely a sense of mild disappointment.
