Record Store Day 2018

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

This year it's on April 21st & the full list has been published

I'd be interested in the new The Cure remixes (Torn Down) but someone at UMG has decided to make it a picture disc. :?
Cheers.

Our local stores seemed to have a really decent selection this year - the Cure picture disc was in evidence, and saw the Tom Waits vinyl.
In the end I went for a couple of Sigur Ros ltd editions.
Great to see the stores so crowded too.

I'd wait until June when it gets a proper black vinyl release & not a mickey mouse wall clock picture disc thing.
Cheers.

Yes, I think it attracts some of the "investor" types, not actual music fans.

TBH one of the reasons I shelled out for the records I got, is to listen to them (and save to digital formats) and then put them away to occasionally get out and enjoy having them, but in the end, hope to turn in a profit when I can do with the cash. So, not just purely for the music...

Only thing worth getting was the Wipers live record, to be honest. Had my hands on the Hillbillies from Hell compilation as well, but was far too expensive. I don't think I like RSD anyway.
