Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

Now those really were the days. That album cover launched a thousand denim jacket embroidery sessions across Merseyside.

We saw Whitesnake support AC/DC there in 1980, I think. But the Whitesnake gigs at Liverpool Empire were the stuff of legend, was a great rock venue, shame it doesn't hold gigs nowadays, the Academy around the back is a poor substitute, though admittedly half the size.

edit: sorry, it was 1981, same year as Thin Lizzy at Milton Keynes in festival season. '79 was Zep at Knebworth, '82 had us at Roundhay Park to see the Stones and '83 was Lizzy and 'Sabbath' at Reading.

Saw Whitesnake at Donnington in 1990 and they were awful , Coverdale's voice was dreadful .

Whilst not exactly whirling around the front room, the opening 'Lady Moonlight' and 'Freeze' are simply stunning.
