Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

One of my pet hates is when THE Joy Division song is listed as "Love will tear us apart" the actual title has "AGAIN" at the end.....!! Which to my mind gives it a totally different meaning/outcome and makes the song much more positive. Okay apologies rant over.

Am unsure how I feel about it, tbh - I do like a bit of dub, but this is a bit pedestrian, and dub-for-the-sake-of-dub.

It brings nothing to the song, but it loses a lot of raw emotion. A bit too studied for my liking.
There's only 1 Dub version of that Song that's worth listening to

"...Again" is in the Lyrics, but it ain't part of the Title

Great album; they were an unbelievable live band too.

The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.

''You Want it Darker' by Leonard Cohen sounds very much like 'War on Drugs' by The Sisters. The key, the melody and the temperament are the same.

And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

They are brilliant. They do sing an inordinate number of songs about food & are relentlessly happy. But they are effectively the Japanese Ramones.
They actually performed as The Osaka Ramones (a Ramones tribute) & members of Ramones have even guested with them live.
Peel loved them & had to hunt them down as he only knew of them as 少年ナイフ when he first played Miracles which was in Japanese & he had no idea who or what it was. He just loved it.
Cheers.

@Big Si That looks awesome. Bit pricey though!
Have you read Stephen Morris's book (part 1)?
I've not got round to it yet.
