Well now where did that go?

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I see from my account details that 16 years ago today I joined my first internet forum and became a member of MyHeartland. Whilst 16 years has seemingly passed in the blink of an eye, it represents almost a third of my life so far and therefore MUST have seen a few actual memorable events happen surely?

so, in the last 16 years (in no particular order) i have: got very fat and then back to normal again twice; become a father to my son Rocky who is now 15; fell in love twice and had my heart broken 3 times; been to jail; moved into my own flat after 15 years as an itinerant; seen 4 prime ministers come and go under governments from all 3 major parties if you include the coalition;; seen the Sisters 13 times with 4 different guitarists and 2 nurses playing 9 new songs with no new releases; lost more heroes than i care to recall but most painfully Lemmy, Bowie, Lux and Ronnie James Dio; lost more brothers than a man deserved to have in the first place; seen the world fall apart from covid and the mighty Liverpool win their first ever Premiership and first League title in 30 years....so much more that Is personal and no doubt even more that i cant even remember

most pertinent to this post i have met all of you, either online or i was lucky enough to meet you for real and some of you are amongst my very best friends in the world.
this place is Special and I love you all very much...even those of you I don't. 8) :von: :hl:

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

Sad we never got that party going at the 2020 gig. I feel I may have been out-jammed.
A reflection clearly written with a lotta love. Keep at it my man, agreed. This place is special. X
