the personality

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

"never go back" would indicate "to move on" instead, at least sometimes.

regardless of the reasons for this policy, 25 years could not ease the pain?

very merciless they are, the sisters. haven't the gods been good to them?

Well, apparently this might have something to do with the Mish having 'Dritch (try and say that with a West Country accent and it makes sense :) ) removed from the Hamburg Markethalle back 1986 when he turned up to check them out.

Wayne didn't bring it up. He was putting down a rumour that had been much discussed over several days.

I find it hilarious that everyone's leaping to Von's defence here when we're all well aware that this sounds exactly like him. I'm not saying that Wayne's a choirboy but the only choir Von's ever sung with is the Chorus of Vengeance.

The Sisters have a strict policy for guest lists: they invite people they like, people they trust and people they owe money/drink/drugs/kit * too.

If you've ever been lucky enough to receive a freebie into a gig then it's probably because you fall into one of the above categories.

* Delete as applicable.
Going back into the past, I think you have forgotten one category, those who won a freebie thanks to a radio station. My own fault thanks to the drugs that I didn't go backstage after a freebie backstage pass given to me by a dearly departed. Should I now give up on that dream of it ever happening again?
