THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.
Honestly i think i prefer that rendition of Body Electric to most of the Sisters renditions.
even the body and soul 12" version (post sound-fixing by dr. robert)?
'fraid so, it's just not one of my favourites.
Hearing that screechy Amiga version makes me wonder what a Dragonforce cover of the song would sound like...
He's got a long list of previous which goes back at least until the Commodore 64. Admittedly, I quite like his mashup of Afterhours and Assault on Precinct 13 but his career is built upon a tissue of lies...:
Also, check out this 'composition' from Lotus Turbo Challenge 2, 1991 on the Amiga:
Nothing wrong with the rubber keyed 48k! (aside from the colour clash and sound..). And loading issues.
Still loved it
Can't beat a good techno-doorstop! Although that was a typical snidey comment from a then-jealous Vic 20 owner, I loved my mate's speccy too what I mainly love though is that Jeff Minter is still making games and they're still magnificent
It's difficult to find a good medical specialist. Today, I've been to an eye specialist ... and I really felt in good hands
with that surgery. So I left the practice in a rather pleasant mood .... ... and when I stepped outside the building,
there were the sweet notes of "Burn" ringing from the balcony on the second floor ...
.... ... ... it's a wonderful day ... ...

Similarly I went for an MRI scan and CT Scan today, and was wearing a t-shirt with just the head and star and no words on it. As the radiologist loaded me into the MRI machine he said "sorry we don't have any Sisters to put on for you".

Obviously, today is somewhat a Sisters Day ... ...

He'd have had to really crank up the volume if the MRI was as noisy as the one at St James' hozzy in Leeds. Fingers crossed x
Yeah, the one at Macc was pretty atrociously thumpy too. There was one section that sort of sounded like a manic version of the start of Afterhours that I enjoyed though Thankyou!
I've had the "pleasure" of a few MRI scans myself. The rhythms and volume make it a trance-like experience after some time...
As it happens I made a song of the experience... called "MRI" funnily enough. If anyone is interested you can find on Spotify or Bandcamp. My artist name is "The Majestic Procession" and the album is called "Beyond Stars". It should probably be played loud for full effect...
