THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.
Fresh Meat -series 2 episode 6.: TOL 92 as the character "Goth Linda" (i know.... ) is about to have her face pierced in a deliberate dental 'accident'.
“I don't want people to come and see our gig because of the magnificent things I'm doing with my hips, but it's their evening, you know. They have to have fun. I'm a little bit naive."
i was stood in a little tesco this morning and a crusty looking chap n front of me saw my 1985 MR t-shirt and said: "f**king hell i used to love the sisters of mercy. best band ever!"
i looked at him for a second and replied -"yes Paul, it was me that got you into them!" was an old friend of mine from years ago! then we remembered that we had fallen out considerably and are no longer friends and i gave him a withering "actually they still play all the time. went to see them twice in march. new album out soon. theyre still the best band ever....you wouldn't like them though. no cowboy hats."
It's all a loving tribute, and very much for a good cause. Keep trying to lure Hussey up after a Saturday night gig, but he's out of Whitby like a bat out of hell on Sunday!
"Sisters of Mercy" was one of the answers in a question on yesterdays episode of The Chase, but in connection with the holy order not the band. Unfortunately it was the winning answer in that round so there was no opportunity for The Governess to chime in with some additional info.

Dan Donovan, who I believe was the Doktor"s nurse for a while, was on Pointless Celebrities in a team with Brix Smith last night. Which was nice.
