Electric Moon present a re-imagination of Floodland

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Brisbane production company Electric Moon lends its hand to a drastically reworked and re-imagined version of The Sisters Of Mercy's 1987 album 'Floodland', turning it into a dark cabaret.

So the whole article is just bigging up a cover version then?, would be good to hear but not worth getting my knickers in a twist about. Do you think that The Easy All Stars will do Dubland?

as for the ACTUAL reworking of it, it sounds "interesting" yes...but i'm sure i will hate it. maybe if they grandiosed it UP rather than trimming it DOWN it would hold more appeal for me but it sounds a bit like TSOM unplugged to me. fine for 1959 which is just Von and the old Joanna but dreadful for the rest! "Real" drums rather than drum-tek is retarded for starters.. Cello's are awesome true, but at the expense of the rest of the Synth-ony orchestra? no way!and not even a hint of a Sexyphone! We are sailing dangerously toward Lamb Chop territory again....and not the delicious salivatory yummy-ness of roasting flesh oh no! rather the poisoned toffu and s**t flavoured type of lamb choppy offering that youu wouldnt serve to anyone other the sort of c**t who murders Sisters songs. & & :urff: for that matter. :von:
