a little premature of me maybe but i'm yet to read anything bad; but then again everything i've read so far has been written by people who were there....:innocent: :von:

@Chaotician -the healing powers of The Sisters are truly awesome arent they? (the only thing that comes close is the Heartland effect IMO). glad youre feeling better.

sound on the vocals was not good for the first few. was set at mumble mode and many a fine lyric was unintelligible for a while. Von's habit of changing tempo, cadence and phrasing doesn't help either!
crowd were happy though, if a little quiet until towards the end.
it was all jolly good fun and there were very many smiley people. excellent. :D

I thought they had great energy & looked to be having fun. Von's mic needed turning up.

Could anyone understand what he said between songs? He was chattier than last year.

I'm fairly sure that at one point he said "this show is brought to you by... Painkillers"
"I've seen Andrew Eldritch in an ice hockey shirt onstage, and I've given him the benefit of the doubt"
Tom G Warrior of Celtic Frost

i'd rather reviews were written by people who hated the band, or had never heard them, than some weekender who used to like an lp back in the day. a scatterd collection of musiscians? floodland didnt even have a band. spaced so far apart.....smoke....etc: at the albert hall there was so much smoke and the band were so hidden it took my mate michael the first 5 songs to realise that the person he had assumed was Gary Marx was in fact a cameraman. von's voice has always been utterly different live than on record and even the best (on the night ) sisters gigs can sound dreadful when you listen to that nights recording. and there has never been a choir at the start of corrosion live, never ever (though sometimes we get nice bon-tempi organ renditions of that bit.)

I've been to many Sisters gigs which have been slated on reviews but were great. There isn't any point in comparison with the 1980s. Even back in the day :von: was always unpredictable. And why complain about too much smoke?

Good to hear the other side of these "reviews". My default setting is restored to optimism again.

On the other hand, gotta love this part:
An overwhelming cloud of dry ice and bold pastel lights fill the stage like a massive, joyful 80‘s Care Bears puke
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.
