This is my translation of the German wikipedia article
into (what I think to be) English. I would be very
grateful if any of you could edit the article for obvious
grammatical/stylistic weaknesses, as I'm not a

I asked John Spence about 'This Corrosion' and
he didn't know who Alan Vega was (19.9.2010):

"The first time I came across the Sisters was
when they supported a band I was touring with
at York University.
They shuffled onto the stage for a soundcheck
and they had one combo amp into which was
plugged all the guitars and their drum machine!
Usually they also put vocal mic through this as
well.
It was a terrible racket as you can imagine!

Re Alan Vega: ... the name means nothing to me
