Gift reissue plus extras
I'm assuming the "extras" would also include the Giving Ground single versions (both different to the LP version) and possibly some This Corrosion demos. Other than the Norman Cook remix I'm not aware of anything else that might exist.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

The irony being that for years you coudn''t give the original vinyl away on eBay whilst the cd was much sort after.Electrochrome wrote: ↑04 Oct 2020, 17:43 Is this still happening?
a gift by virtue of it being out of print in hard media and of course a vinyl release being a big deal this century.

They're just having "issues" locating a studio that can still accommodate the use of 8" floppy disks. No tittering at the back missus.

still not quite sure what this amateur outfit sought to gain from all this but it is utter bollocks no?
Well I was handsome and I was strong

"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

There certainly was a smell of official-ness about it this time last year, what with flyers being circulated at the merch stall at gigs, etc. One would have thought that Covid lockdown might have provided a perfect opportunity for Von to do whatever he needs to do, but evidently not. At this stage it seems to have gone the way of Summer, the live DVD, inter alia.

Agreed. They must have approached him directly, there's no way AE just dreamt up a Gift re-issue randomly.
And of course it meant he'd have full control (unlike the CD reissues years back that includes a typo on the spine of Vision Thing). And of course that means there's no motivation to really cranking this out, even with COVID19.

There were typos in this from the get go which made me suspicious

Flyers were available at the merch stand at the shows in March.
And this was posted on Cadiz FB page last week
"Hi Paul, I know we keep saying it but things are moving along, albeit slowly. Should have an update soon."
My credit card is waiting!!!

As dodgy as Cadiz come across, this was completely legit. Though by the sounds of it, Dave was more enthusiastic than Andrew.

Isn’t that the last 30 years in a nutshell? (Prove me wrong Von. PLEASE prove me wrong).

Long time lurker and my first post.
I was a bit late to TSOM and I’m not one of the original fans but still getting on a bit.
Most of us must have this on CD or vinyl so it’s about the extra tracks and the first ever digital release for me.
I can’t separate this potential release from the BBC putting the sessions tracks on iTunes.
It would be nice if the Radio 1 tracks could find their way onto a CD as a physical product would be nice.
I’d buy some of the Gift tracks again just to have the artwork on my phone.
