Handy Hint No.21

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

this is very boring, but if you live alone and you're a bloke you may find this very handy.

I bought some curtains 2 years ago for my new house. as a bloke I didn't bother to measure the window, just plodded off down to the curtain shop and bought some that may have fitted :D they did, well sort of, they where well too long, but it didn't matter, it's fashionable for curtains to drag on the floor by about 3 feet

anyway I decided to wash'em today, and I couldn't be bothered waiting for them to dry. Label said 'Do not tumble dry' :?: so I tumbled dry'ed them and now thay fit perfectly 8) who needs to know how to sow when you've got the magic of a tumble dryer :D

you could of course have used wonderweb. ikea put it in with their curtains for you to use, which is thoughtful.

no, you iron it on. turns up trousers in about a minute, from cutting it to fit to ironing. you use a wet cloth between the iron and material folded over the wonderweb, its kinda like a steam heatweld i suppose. fairly permanent if you do it right. works for me!

It only involves putting a hot iron flat down. no need to get rid of creases.

I find that painting the inside of the windows black negates the need for curtains. Hammerite does the job well. Watercolours tend to fade after a while.
Next week I'm going to scratch some bullet-hole shapes in the paint for the sun to shine through. Should be great.
My car's faster than your mum, but not as dirty.
