Too Hip To Be Square

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Uncanny. I was just checking the Rhombus site yesterday for local gigs and probably won't be able to do the Bonfire Night one and try to avoid Bradford if at all possible. Result!
And you know that she's half crazy but that's why you want to be there.

The Highbank Hotel, Harehills Lane is only £32 for a single room per night, whereas The Ibis is £45, can any local yokels advise?

Dim, through the misty panes and thick green light,
As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.

I think I'd be safe enough in an hotel with cabs in and out, or would the cab fare negate the £13 saved at the Ibis?
I don't mind a bit of rough

it would have to be a bloody long way up harehills lane to warrant a 13 quid taxi

5 or 6 quid should be about right in a taxi.... i think :?:

this the place?

http://www.uk-hotel-accommodation.co.uk ... ghbank.cfm

i used to live opposite potternewton park too - i think i know whereabouts it is 8)

its very near spencer place, which is red light central round that part of town   but don't let that put you off (!) because that part of town is quite strange in that there are some lovely places right next to really grim places. that place looks quite nice & i think i know where abouts it is - i reckon you'll be fine there :)

Fraid I won't be able to make the Sunday do...but will hopefully see one or two 'crossoverers' the night before.
Five cups of coffee just to be myself...when I'd rather be somebody else
